Just to clarify, @Jmacyk meant that I'm the worst at being unfriendly

Wait, then that means I'm the friendliest. That sure as hell ain't true.

Anyway, glad to have you around Shimrod! I think you'll like the place, especially if you want to discuss some books or movies. We're all ears! (Except for @Jmacyk. He talks too much.)

Maybe he's confused then? Surely we can blame it on him somehow... @Jmacyk

Hello

I found my way here from Joe Abercrombie's site and mention of the grim gathering. I seem to have drifted back into fantasy reading of late and am enjoying work by a number of authors currently writing.
I have neither the wit or eloquence to write myself but am looking forward to reading some of the stories posted up on this site and joining in the many topics under discussion.

Welcome, welcome! Drag up a chair, grab a mug of ale, and chew the fat.
Glad to have you here.
Those of us in the U.S. are very envious of the Brit contingent having the Grim Gathering.  Maybe we'll need a virtual version on that day  ;D

So welcoming, the members have even been known to fall into cult like worshipping of each other! Enjoy!

Welcome! If you're looking for new things to read, I think you will love some Terry Goodkind, Peter V. Brett, or one of Christopher Paolini's many original masterpieces.

Oh, and I hope you enjoy pyramids. Our last hound around these forums had a sick fascination with those  ;)
