Hi! I'm new!

I'm an avid reader and writer who is currently attending Grad school! I found this site while looking for places that would review my self-published novel and decided to become part of the community.

Hi, I'm new!

Found the site through twitter and am definitely looking forward to some killer book discussion.  That's killer in an 80's "bad means good" kind of way, not in a George R R Martin "I'll disembowel your very soul" kind of way.

Hello. I follow Fantasy Faction on Twitter and often feel like I'd like to be involved in some of the conversations that are posted, so here I am.

I grew up on Dragonlance and still consider myself a Dragonlance fan. I teach English at the postsecondary level and love all kinds of literature, but fantasy and SF are usually my mainstays when I want to really enjoy myself in a book. I'm looking forward to talking about books and other fantasy-related adventures.  :)

Hello, everyone.  I found Fantasy Faction via Google search for best fantasy novels of 201?, since I like finding out about new writers and new books.  I didn't expect to find or join a forum, but here I am.

Thanks, F-F, the monthly story contest has gotten me to finish my first story since college... oh, 30+ years ago.  I submitted one for November, and I'm already well into the one for December.

For anyone reading this, read Ancillary Justice, one of the best first novels I've read in SSF for a while.  Change a few things, and it would be fantasy instead of space opera.
Change, when it comes, will step lightly before it kicks like thunder. (GRMatthews)

Welcome. :) It's great that you are writing again (and even finishing the stories ;)).

Hey all! Have a good stay, and try not to burn the place down.

Because that's your responsibility?

Thanks for the welcome messages. I haven't really jumped into any conversations yet, but I certainly plan to stick around.
