Hello, my name is Max, and I'm Autumn2May's cousin.

I write all kinds of stuff, but I usually stick with fantasy/comedy.  I've had a couple of my short stories bought and published by independent magazines, but otherwise I just write for fun.

I haven't written in a while though, so I look forward to joining the forum and meeting everyone!

Annnnnnd coming in from stage left it's Dragon Girl! Aka Autumn2May's cousin, aka MaxCat's younger sister.

What can I say about myself? Many years ago I decided to read a 100 fantasy books in one summer. They were all mind meltingly terrible and most of them were recommended to me by Autumn2May. MAGIC KINGDOM FOR SALE WASN'T FUNNY AUTUMN.

Anyhoo, I'm writing a book with a friend of mine. I also knit and crochet every waking moment of the day. I think that's about it!

I didn't say it was funny, I said it was a good story. :P  And you're the one that kept reading them after you decided you didn't like them. :)

Ahhh I want to spin so bad! I did a little handspinning in college but it's such a nightmare. If I'm ever starting again I want an awesome spinning wheel first!

Hi,

I joined yesterday after FantasyFaction started following me on twitter (go figure!) Anyway as I'm always looking for new books to read and I just bought The Blade Itself which is March's book club book I thought it looked like a good forum to join.

In RL I'm a 42 year old mum to an almost 7 year old boy and I work 4 days a week in IT.

Hi. I'm Shaun. I'm married to Gothic Panda who suggested I join this forum. I've always loved fantasy and I hope one day to actually write some. I have written on a number of game manuals, newspapers, and some academic journals but those never really let me explore my creativity as much.

Wow, loads of people following the twitter breadcrumbs (including me)
I have read fantasy since I was able to read nearly and have always loved the combat side of it despite being a girl. When I was six if you had asked me what I wanted to be It wouldnt be "Princess" or "fairy" I would answer "Knight" , "Warrior" or "Asassin" . When I grew up this obsession stayed and when I was 10 I started regular weapons training and my life hasnt really got any more normal.

I read a LOT and am a speed reader, if I want I could read one of the Black Magician trilogy in between 2 and 2 1/2 hours. I also enjoy writing, when I realised being a Knight wasnt a proper job I decided I wanted to be an author (Not that thats really a proper job either) and have stuck with it ever since.

And warning - I do have rather large obsessions with BBC Merlin and Anthony Stewart Head

Feel free to say hi.

I've not seen Merlin (yet!) but there's nothing wrong with an obsession with Anthony Stewart Head!
