Yeah, I came to watch the cage fights too.

lol Not a lot of cage fighting here normally....though our site owner (Overlord) is a Thai boxer now that I think about it.  Anyway, welcome to the site! :)

Hello, I'm Michael Coorlim, a Chicago-based author and screenwriter. Count me among those who've been lured out of the woodwork by the meltdown.

Hi - I'm from the North of Scotland. Long time reader of Fantasy. Read most of the big epics, though very slowly making my way through Malazan every now and again. Currently reading Theft of Swords by Michael J. Sullivan and really enjoying it. Hopefully I will have something to add to the discussions on the boards!  8)

Hello, my name is Neil Snyder.  I am so excited to find the fantasy book club!  I am also an aspiring author.  Right now I am working on my skills though a couple classes, but I hope to post some work in the next year or so.

*waves*

I'm not really new, but I've been under a rock for a while, so I thought I'd pop in and re-introduce myself. I'm Melissa, and the aforementioned 'rock' was me finishing my dissertation. Yep, I'm a doctor now.

Now all I need to do is get married to someone named 'Who' and I'm set.

Hey Ty...the bar's thataway *waves vaguely left* but I'm pretty sure it needs restocking.

Hello all

The recent author meltdown reminded me that I've been meaning to sign up for a while. I am a longtime forum member over at FMWriters but looking forward to the book discussions here.

As you can guess by the handle, my name is Alex. I'm a Canadian living in the Basque Country and miss talking fantasy books with others.

Hi folks!

I've just finished reading 'Among Others' (Jo Walton) and it got me thinking that I don't spend nearly as much time chatting about books as I'd like.  So here I am!

I promise not to try writing any fiction while I'm here (the results would be... horrifying).  But being among people who do seems pretty cool.
