Hi All,

Discovered the forum this morning via a Twitter post. (Yep, they work...sometimes)

I've been reading sf and fantasy since I was eleven-years-old when my next-door neighbor, who was a children's librarian, took pity on my single-parent mom. Bored out of my gourd with no one to play with but good 'ol mom, I drove her crazy until Mrs. Crabtree brought home a stack of books she knew would hook a young boy and give my mom some relief. It worked. I've been hooked ever since.

I have two books available for review -- one a YA fantasy and the other a SF techno-thriller (with adult themes) here on the forum at:

http://fantasy-faction.com/forum/advertising-your-novels/want-to-have-your-novel-reviewed/msg21383/#msg21383  and

http://fantasy-faction.com/forum/advertising-your-novels/want-to-have-your-novel-reviewed/msg21384/#msg21384

I'm starting NaNoWriMo tomorrow with the intention of writing the rough draft of book two of the YA fantasy - Dominion Over All -- a Zak Bates Eco Adventure series, so I'll probably be keeping a fairly low profile here for the next month.  Looking forward to learning more from the members here.

Welcome to the forums VisionaryAuthor! :)  Have you ever done NaNo before?  This is going to be my second year, and the first year for many others on the board.  Good luck to you! :)

Hellos (as they say very endearingly in Kenya).

I came across the forum when I got followed on twitter, so I thought I'd better follow right on back. I'm a novelist living in Nairobi, and read anything I can get my hands on, fantasy or otherwise.

Looking forward to pick up recommendations and just have general chit-chat.

Cheers,
Michael.

Welcome Michael!  If you are looking to expand your reading list, this is the place to be. :) Just be warned, it can get a bit expensive. ;)

Hello all,

I'm new to this forum and, in fact, new to forums in general! Still, I like fantasy fiction and I like sci-fi, so thought it a good idea to register and what not.

I'm @IwishIwasabook on twitter, and if you are interested I run http://www.IwishIwasabook.com/

So yeah... hello!

Hello!

To ease your minds, let me first say that I am new here :)

I have been writing for about 5 years, but have not published anything yet.

I write fantasy and until recently was kicking butt on my NaNoWriMo novel, but I seem to have fallen off the wagon. But that being said, I can still finish on time with a bit of dedication.

Feel free to welcome me and please note that I applaud all basking whenever it is in my presence :P

Sincerely yours,

Kalthandrix (aka Kal)

Welcome Kal!  I too am way too far behind on my NaNo this year. :P  Hoping to catch up over Thanksgiving weekend.  Did you see we have a NaNo thread in the Writer's Corner?  You should join us in our group NaNo effort. :)

*reads paper handed to him*

*clears throat*

Say Hi, I'm new thread.

*lifts head, raises eyebrow, and looks off camera*

Wha? What do you mean I'm not supposed to say the whole thing? Well, if you didn't intend for me to ... Hey, I just read what you ... What do you mean the camera is still on?

*clears throat again*

Hi everyone! My name is Leif, but you can call me Leiffy. I found FF in August but wasn't quite ready to jump into the forums until now. I am a flash fiction writer and do a lot of other things with writing and words. Some might call me a word wrangler. No, that was on the script too, sorry.

I look forward to interacting with you all, you will probably find me lurking around the writer's section, but I'll make sure to pop my head in on other topics too.

*nervous wave*

Hi all!

So I found this pace a month or two ago and I have to say it is awesome, I love reading the reviews and thanks to them I have bought quiet a few new books lately.  I've been lurking the forums for a while, but now I think I'd like to jump in and maybe make some new friends who enjoy the same kind of books as I do.

:)

Hi all,

Like most people here I'm also new to the forum. Found FF throug a RT from @_TheVoyager_ I believe so keep up with the Twitter!
I like the reviews, the interviews and most importantly (for me) the writing tips since I plan to enter a writing competion and I would like to not make myself look like a fool!
I'm also looking for good books to read ;)
