Thank you for liking my review. I have reviewed a few of Lawrence's books including Red Sister which you should check out. What is your username on twitter so I can make sure I follow back the right person. :)

Hi, I'm RJ Barker, also with a debut out this year, called Age of Assassins through Orbit, and Anna Stephens said if I didn't come here she would steal my lunch money. Actual true fact.

The interesting ting is that the threat against lunch money worked.
You must have really great lunches.  ;D

I should really put the book in the 'books to released thing' but I'm mooching about first. Cos, y'know, moochers gotta mooch.

I don't take any notice of the small press and self published topics. I buy books if I see a member  is part of the community first so mooch away :-)

I can't understand why some people advertise their work with one post never to be seen again here.

I really feel for self published authors, I can't imagine anything harder than trying to get your book noticed among the thousands that come out (one of the reasons it's never appealed to me, also: laziness). I think those sort of 'drive by' postings come out of the sort of unscrupulous advice that tells you it's a numbers game, when it's not really, I think it's probably a lot subtler (and mysterious, to me anyway).

On the other hand, if you're a bit shy it's probably quite hard to walk into a forum and just post stuff, easier to squeak in and I suspect some people hope they'll be dragged into conversation that way. Luckily, I am not shy, I put this down to my massive hair.

Hi @Dedbutdrmng  !

I've a question: what's the story behind your username ? And, more important, how do you pronounce it ?

(Well that's two questions)

(And why don't you let her steal your lunch money, let her buy her lunch, then steal it ?)
