Hey Sebby!

It's pretty cool around here, some really nice people visiting and hanging out... :)

Where are you from?

Hey guys, I'm AlexEatsBooks (which amazingly enough is also my Twitter name) I'm Australian but currently living in snowy England!
I've loved fantasy for years, even though a lot of my reading lately is children's books as I work in a children's bookstore! I'm hoping to squeeze in some fantasy reading again - seemingly starting with Mistborn!
Looking forward to spending some more time on here!
Alex

Haha - It seems we are all going to be reading Mistborn very, very soon! :D

Welcome to the boards, the snow is terrible here too (Southern England) where about are you based Alex?

Also... Do you really 'eat' books? Cause I don't think that is healthy at all *shakes head*

Thanks for the welcome - the snow is wonderful! I'm based in Oxford - the Brits are going mad *laughs* had to shut shop early on Saturday due to all the buses being suspended or cancelled :)
I'm looking forward to reading Mistborn actually - I remember a friend recommending it to me some time ago and I'm glad to see it coming back to nag me to read it!
And I do of course mean 'Eat' in a metaphorical sense... Picture evidence to the contrary ;)

lol, indeed... We are freaking out a bit because it is so un-natural for us... it just doesn't snow in this country. They keep saying it is because of global warming... erm... surely the 'warm' part of 'warming' is evidence to the contrary lol. Apparently all the trains and planes are cancelled so people are sleeping at stations and terminals... fun! :P

Yeah, I'm looking forward to it (Mistborn) also - I'd only just heard of it though! :) Reading 'Lies of Loche Lamora' first though - started yesterday and need to finish by Jan 1st :D

Hey there, the name's G1. I hail from Malaysia and aspire to be a fantasy writer.

Snow never fell here and I don't know whether to be glad or sad.   :)

Hey G1!

I actually lived in Thailand for a year and visited Malaysia a few times - lovely country :)

Be Glad! lol

Hey peeps found you by some obscure link whilst looking for a new read. Must say it's nice to find a forum thats just starting and not established yet. New forums are always fun to be in at the start. I've been an avid reader for many many too bloody many years. Look forward to reading your posts and getting some tips for more good reads.
Although fantasy is my favourite read I do like to take a break from it, so will there be a non fantasy section?

Hi Sharpy,

Yep there will be a non-fantasy section... I'll set it up shortly :)

It's nice to have you here my friend! I like you don't like the HUGE forums where you check back a day later and your post has been sent to about page 4 of 5 and there are far too many replies to think about replying to it and more often than not it is off topic anyway.

I hope though this forum does grow a little bit - I'd be happy with about 50-100 posts a day eventually =)

Hey, names BiSciT. Its been a while since I got on any sort of thread but thought i'd give this one a go. I am from Salt Lake City, Utah, US of A. I never really read much till about six years ago. Even then I didn't start gettinh into fantasy till about a year and a half ago. Since I got into fantasy I have read The Soward of Truth seires by Terry Goodkind, A Song of Fire and Ice series by George R R Martin, The Way of Kings by Brandon Sanderson, I just finished the all of Mistborn, (interested to hear what you all think of it), and am just starting the Wheel of Time Seires by Robert Jordan/Brandon Sanderson.

Little quick side note. I have issues paying attention to books while looking at pages, so I acctually listen to books. This has been discussed by a college english professor and has been concluded to count as reading.
