Hey! I'm really enjoying this site. Lots of great discussions. I'm a fan of fantasy in books and movies. Love Tolkien, Terry Brooks and Lawhead. I also write YA fantasy and my book GILDED is coming out next fall. Looking forward to meeting you.

Hi! As the old saying goes (slightly modified) - I'm a long time reader, first time poster. I've been reading the articles and getting great recommendations from the forums since June, and realized I hadn't posted anything.

This site is terrific! It's introduced me to Abercrombie, Brett, and Weeks, and truly has me passionate about the fantasy genre again. My favorite authors are Butcher and Tolkien, but Rothfuss and Sanderson went out of their way to impress me this last year.

Anyhow, I digress - keep up the good work, and here's to another great year of Fantasy!

Welcome! If there's one thing this sight is great for, it would be growing your TBR list/pile! :)

Hi all, just ducking in to give a quick introduction. I'm a lifelong fantasy addict, also a writer, a sometime artist. My first book is coming out in February. I have a few anthology pieces out/coming out. One is considered paranormal. The other is fantasy. I read mostly fantasy and urban fantasy but I do so enjoy a well-done space opera. Emphasis on well-done.

Hello there

I'm Jason, a long time fantasy/sci-fi reader, started with The Hobbit about a quarter century ago. I was a long time roleplayer in fantasy mmo's, like Ultima Online and DDO, but have since cut the gaming habit in an attempt to be more productive and do some writing.

When I'm not a software developer for a video game studio, I am working on writing some fantasy/sci-fishort stories. I also write poetry that is sometimes good and sometimes bad. I've been on a sci-fi kick for a long while, but recently rediscovered my love of fantasy. Found these forums through Twitter.

Good to meet you!

A fellow developer!  ;D Welcome!

Glad to have you. :)

(Have you found the writer's Corner yet? There's a good number of writers (aspiring and published) on this forum. There are a lot of great discussions and articles to be found)

Welcome, and do have a look around writers corner!

@Arry - Greetings fellow code-monkey!

I took a look at Writer's Corner just now, looks like my sort of spot. One of my favorite ways to procrastinate getting to my writing is to talk and read about writing ;)

I posted up a flash fiction I wrote last week. It's sci-fi, currently working on a fantasy story this week.
