I'm an aspiring author, like most here, who found this website while trying to find info about writing a book. I love reading, mostly mystery, crime, thriller, fantasy, and sci-fi. From joining, I hope to become a better author, and read good books. Oh, I'm also a Texan.

Welcome back !

Hi Everyone,
I'm new and I really like what I'm seeing here. I love the Lord of the Rings. Nothing else compares in my opinion. I also love the Chronicles of Narnia from when I was a kid. My wife has recently published her first book too, which is very exciting for me. I've listened to her read aloud to me as she's written and it's great for her to finally get her stuff out there.  :D

My name's Ray :)

Hello @KyonaChronicles or should I say Ray

This is a small community but it’s very friendly and with a less frantic pace then the Facebook group  and without the wheel of time obsession which is over there . I hope you stick around

You could join me over at the book club or try your hand at the monthly writing contest.

How did you find the forum?

how do you feel about Sanderson 😀 there is no wrong answer

Do you read other fantasy genres like urban ,alternative, steampunk?

My favourite is Epic fantasy, for sure. I'm yet to read Saunderson... should I?!

I stumbled upon this forum when browsing... Lots of time at home at the moment! I'll consider the book club. ;)

Welcome aboard, Ray! I hope your enjoy your stay. As Eclipse said, we're pretty laid back here. Find a topic you're interested in and run with it. We also have general boards to talk about random nonsense or life, if that's up your alley.

Random nonsense = the meaning of life?
(Well, not really, but it struck me as a good line)  ;)

Welcome Ray! Tell your wife to join, too. There monthly writing contests which she can find interesting.

I'm yet to read Saunderson... should I?!

Now that, my friend, is a very good question :)

Hello everyone, I'm Rolien and I'm new here!
I'm a 41-year-old avid reader from the Netherlands. Besides fantasy, I also read literature, general fiction, mystery, thrillers, historical fiction and sci-fi. I've got a soft spot for fantasy, because like no other genre it really feeds my imagination.

Maybe some of you recognize my nickname. Robin Hobb is probably my favourite fantasy author. I also love the works of Tolkien, Guy Gavriel Kay, George R.R. Martin, Carol Berg, Brandon Sanderson, Neil Gaiman, China Miéville, and probably more...

Some of you may know me from the Facebook group. I saw some interesting discussions here (maybe more in-depth than the forum), so eager to join in!

Hello all! I'm new, just joined today. Wanted to be part of a forum where I can submit my writing and see what others write too. Don't know much about the site or forum yet so tips would be appreciated. One of my favorite series is The Kingkiller Chronicles
