Welcome ScarletBea! I bet you’ll fit right in here.’

Hello, everyone.  I found Fantasy Faction via Google search for best fantasy novels of 201?, since I like finding out about new writers and new books.  I didn't expect to find or join a forum, but here I am.

Thanks, F-F, the monthly story contest has gotten me to finish my first story since college... oh, 30+ years ago.  I submitted one for November, and I'm already well into the one for December.

For anyone reading this, read Ancillary Justice, one of the best first novels I've read in SSF for a while.  Change a few things, and it would be fantasy instead of space opera.

And welcome, JMack! Good luck with those monthly stories.

You never did do an introduction @The Gem Cutter , I see you jumped right in F-F with a long post on YA and getting into a debate with @Lady Ty

It’s never too late to do a proper introduction, only a few months back I did mine ????

Hello all, I stumbled upon this forum by accident  and decided to join after reading some intresting topics here, everyone here seems very friendly and polite or is that just an act for the unsuspecting  ;D

Well hello there @Eclipse .  I hope you have fun exploring the boards, and if none of the old discussions appeal to you, you can always resurrect an old thread.

Greetings! I am also new here, my name is Tom Wilson.
I am fan of George Martin, Howard Lovecraft, Edgar Allan Poe, Stanislaw Lem, Andrzej Sapkowski and other fantasy writers.

I read a lot, and try to write a collection of my own stories. One day I was very impressed after reading Solaris by S.Lem. This is my favorite novel of all time. Besides of books, I also like gaming. My favorite games are The Witcher 2,3, TES series: Morrowind, Oblivion, Skyrim, The Vanishing of Ethan Carter, Amnesia: The Dark Descent, SOMA etc.

Unfortunately, my PC needs currently some improvements (I want change my GPU on MSI GTX 1060 6Gb, because it is quite old and also improve my RAM) and I can't play games. Just can surf the Internet with my Acer CB3-131 chromebook. But I hope soon I will be able to return to the world of video games.

Hope I will find good friends here  ;) Thanks!

Just wanted to say Hi - I'm a long-time SF author but I've recently been working on a Fantasy series. I'm really enjoying the change of scenery, and it's been working over a whole new set of writing muscles.

Hi Everyone, I am Zenoc, pronounced "Zeh-no-ck". I am a filmmaker, writer, and gamer ( ^-^)v

My first major book series that has influenced me from high school and even until now has been, Terry Goodkinds, "Sword of Truth" series. Great series! Strong characters, and deep story, though with a couple of books that weren't the best, but still, loved it all! To me, I wanna tell stories in any format I can, whether through writing or visual.

I've been looking for a way to connect with other scifi or fantasy lovers, and also share my works. Right now I am working on a Graphic Novel, and hope I can get some promotional material soon^^;

As a fantasy & scifi lover, I would really like to connect with those who share similar interests as well as enjoy such story telling^^. You can follow me on twitter, or facebook: @zenochernandez .

I hope everyones having a good day!
