Hello all and greetings from rainy (for now) Virginia. I'm Alisha and I'm an indie author. :D

So a little about me - I'm a mom to two kids and three kitties, a former Navy sailor, and now a full-time writer. I grew up reading a whole slew of fantasy books, but a few that really stand out in my mind are the Xanth series, the Dragonriders of Pern, and Mercedes Lackey's Valdemar books. Throw in some Stephen King, Clive Cussler, Jim Butcher, and James Rollins and you get a prett good picture of my reading habits. I'm also a big gamer. Total geek girl here, hehe.

As far as my writing goes, I actually co-write everything with my bff, Nicole Taylor. We write in a few genres under 3 different names: Vivienne Savage, Dominique Kristine, and A. Payne & N.D. Taylor.

I'm looking forward to getting to know you all, making friends, and hopefully getting the chance to share my books. <3

Welcome welcome!

If you haven't already, check out our five best modern Fantasy poll. And then there's our writing contest, we're in the final round of the best antagonist book battle, and I'm sure I'm missing a whole bunch of other things. Enjoy your stay, and be prepared to find lots of new and exciting books!

I'm extremely lucky in that Nicole and I get along fabulously, tend to share a lot of the same thoughts, and are able to work through any differences that come up. We also tend to make up for the other's weak areas, which works out great for us. :D
I'm always happy to chat and answer questions so feel free.

We recently had a thread that morphed into a discussion on co-writing, be nice to get the opinion of someone who's actually walked the talk and talked the walk.

Hi and welcome sailor.  I just left Virginia to return to Augusta, Ga.

I knew I felt something off in the air today. Get out of my state!

Never mind. I'm heading back to Minnesota tomorrow. I'm safe.
