Mines from Twilight, not really.

It was the brand of the arrows I was shooting with at the time.

What! A thread I hadn't replied to yet? ;)
(I know there are many, and many of you guys are forum-olders-than-me, hehe)

My nickname has followed me since 2000 (2001?), and created in the chat section of the Suede fan site.
I spent ages and ages there (I've change since then, haven't I? ;)), and each person had to choose a colour to post. I kept choosing scarlet, and suddenly became ScarletBea :D

My full nickname is "ArhiX Misantrophia vel Shadow Within di Indiferentis da Admonition" and was created step by step by me having a really "dark" times in my life, recovering from it, writing a story about a character, devouering who they are and fusing their names with my own.

In example - Arhi was an archeopteryx - a main protagonist of one of the very first stories I ever wrote, after being influenced by Harry Potter (thank you Rowling). It's still a reminescency of the times, when I was just a happy kid. And most of people I'm good friends with call me "Arhi" more often then by my real name. Or maybe it is that Arhi actually IS my real name.

And no. It doesn't come form Ezzio Auditore di Ferenzo.

I didn't choose it - it chose me!  :P

Not sure to be honest. It evolved into "Raptori" from slightly similar forms, but I have no idea where the whole dinosaur thing actually came from. Maybe @Saurus remembers...  :o

My Twitter handle, such as it is, is jmacyk. I used that here at first, but people kept calling me Mack or JMack. So I went with it.  ;D

um.  get on that.  some of us are curious!

i think that's one of the more interesting, crowd-funded handles i've ever heard of.  crazy.

and mine, of course, comes from anne rice.  way back when the book memnoch the devil came out, i was into quake ctf and needed an online handle that was unique.  i swapped up the e/3 and it stuck.

and, it's unique enough, that i've completely pwned it on every service since the mid-nineties.  that means, for people who want to assemble the entire history of me on the internet, this google query is all you need:  https://www.google.com/search?q=m3mnoch

Hah. It's not that interesting really. Pretty sure it went like this:

Saurus was known as KikiSaur just because she's an awesome dinosaur and all that, and since we were/are a couple I became known as JoeyRaptor. Cause raptors are awesome. Naturally those nicks quickly got shortened to just Saur and Raptor, and Saur became Saurus fairly quickly because it's nice to have the same number of syllables.

Pretty sure the shift to Raptori came after we moved to Finland, because of the numerous English loan words used by Finns. Most of them, for some reason, have the letter i added to the end: sound > soundi, bar > baari, bus > bussi, film > filmi, etc. They always stand out to me in rapid streams of Finnish words, and we started making up our own (which nobody but us two would ever use) such as cucumber > cucumberi.

@ArcaneArtsVelho should appreciate that last one.  8)

What? Cucumberi? That's just silly.  ::)
 ;)

I was sure your name came from the old Finnish rap group Raptori.  ;D
Everything I wrote above is pure conjecture. I don't know what I'm talking about.

I'm a perfectionist but not very good at anything. That's why I rarely finish things.

Henry Dale is a minor fictional character in my creation. He writes softcore porn (yes) and historic educational novels.

I mostly use two names - Sarene is from a Sanderson novel.
The second is Kitvaria. Kitvar is a town in my favorite (German) fantasy as a teen....

They are two of my 22 wow characters too, and I am not sure if they ended up being my favorites characters due to the names, or if the names became my favorite names due to the characters ;)

Die Träume des Jonathan Jabbok? I read it and it wasn't bad but it was a bit too much Christian fantasy for my taste. ;)

Could've sworn I had replied to this thread. Oh well.

It's taken from my first RPG character, Doc. He's a doctor. And I needed something vaguely resembling my username at the time (C.Hill) so I stuck the words together and hoped for the best.

I always thought that your nick was about... you know... "chill" and all that marijuana stuff. I even imagined you as a rastafarian actually.

Silly me.
