Hey Folks!
« on: April 13, 2015, 08:49:41 AM »
Hi Guys!

Kareem here, Self titled power geek!

Should you wish to discuss fantasy, comic books, movies, TV shows, drumming, boxing, basketball, whiskeys (especially top bourbons) I'm your man! oooooh and occasionally facial hair.

I had the good fortune of attending the grim gathering on the 10th and had an absolute blast! Was able to meet some of my favourite authors and met some great people. It really was a great event and I can't wait to go back given the opportunity.  Further to that I was invited to this forum so here I am!

I was the overenthusiastic guy with the goat beard.

I look forward to hearing from you all and hopefully contributing to conversations in a sensible and adult fashion (don't put too much faith in that thought)

Cheers!
I'm the best at what I do, and what I do isn't very nice

Hi Kareem, there aren't many sensible adults here, we've frightened them away, but if you are into animal worship you're welcome, as long as it's dragons. :D

Hi Kareem, the spoiler guy!!! ;D
Yes, I'm the one who'd only read the first 2 trilogies, hehe - but it's as you said, he's an animal, he had to die eventually, hehe, so it wasn't *that* bad!

I'm so glad I'm being successful in bringing more people to post on the forum!!!
Please feel free to post anywhere and everywhere, hehe, and go check the GG photos, you're there 8)

Hey Kareem,
I didn't make it to Grim Gathering, even though I'm only 2 trains away from it... then again I'm in japan in some weeks from now so no money u.u
So anyway, I don't know you or your facial hair, but welcome to FF.

Tl;dr. Welcome, the rest was gibberish.

Ha! Already I'm the spoiler guy! I'm truly sorry about that! I'm down with dragons too! Eragon and most of the Anne Mccaffrey books grace my book shelves though I'm more of a wolf guy!

Goat beard = ok by me.

Plus, just came back from a trip with my Kentucky cousins, in which bourbon and coke featured strongly. We didn't have much selection and I don't remember which one. I do like Knob Creek.

I also like Rye. I have one called 1776.

Liking is not not knowing. What are the best?

And don't listen to Lady Ty. Liking dragons is sort of like liking the Yankees or Real Madrid.  Their money can buy them anything. And wolves? Well maybe. But goats, now. It's hard work to love a goat (no comments please).

I know I'm supposed to be impartial, priestess of one and all, but sorry Jmack, dragons are better than goats :P might be up there with wolves, but not goats

That sounds great  :D I'm hopefully going to Kentucky next year! I want to visit Harlen (I'm a huge Justified fan) and the Wild Turkey distillery. It's 5 dollars for a trip round the distillery and about a grand to get to it!

My favourite bourbons.....
Wild Turkey in it's many different forms however Kentucky spirit single barrel is my favourite
Elmer T Lee (a master distiller from the buffalo trace factory) most trace whiskeys are nice but Elmer t is the tits!
Knob Creek! Good choice sir!
Woodland reserve is one I found at asda (around 30 quid) that is really nice.

Wolves and goats? My beard is a celebration of the majesty of that glorious beast..... honest. They did kick that trolls ass under the bridge. But yea wolves for me. If I squint my huskies are wolves!

Who? Me? change someone's title? That would be... funny?

Someone gave me a title but no clue who did it. Maybe there should be a way to see that?

Goats and dragons cannot live without one another. The dragons eat goats and the goats need the dragon dung to grow grass.

No, you don't to know. Just go with the flow :D
I'm usually thrown around between Nighteyes' wolves and Jmack's goats, but it seems my GG orange jumper is now famous so I'm overseer of all 8)

;D ;D ;D I check all titles daily now. This last exchange had me ROFL and then knocked coffee all over the desk.

Absolutely, no fun without someone to tease. Last time I looked I think Nighteyes had yet a new title.

Which reminds me I made Nighteyes Night Angel and only just noticed, yaaay - Chocolate Cake  and Wild Turkey all round, and  I'll raise a Glen Fiddich to you all ;D

Which makes me wonder...
Every "hi I'm new" thread eventually ends up being about the goat-dragon-poodle war :p

I think it's now wolf, not poodle (adds a certain... gravitas... to the doggie 8))

I think you mean Night Angel ;) I was wondering what you had made poor @Nighteyes do, and why did that deserve cake and stuff, until I noticed your post number :D
Yay, congrats!
