Hello fellow readers and writers,

Like many here, I have had a long-standing love affair with Fantasy-Fiction, dating back to the first time that I journeyed across Middle Earth with Frodo, or soared through the skies of Pern (the latter being technically Sci-Fi - but with a clear fantasy element).

But, in the intervening years, life happened, and my old love affair with fantasy realms was largely forgotten (college, jobs, moving, marriage - we all know the drill) - until one day I discovered that I could now share my old love for Epic Fantasy and magical realms with my three daughters.

So here I am, rediscovering old favorites, and being introduced to new ones - as well as hoping to eventually publish a novel of my own.  :)

Welcome, you've come to the right place :)

Feel free to read and post, even on old threads, ask for recommendations or any other questions.

And just for our "let's see how many countries we have here", where are you from? ;D

Feel free to many threads and reply to old ones about your favourite books, and there's a bunch of writers on here too, working on a variety of short stories and novels.

I was raised in the midwest of the U.S. (northern Michigan to be more precise), although I currently live in the northeast (Connecticut).
