I've just spent the last hour at Kwik Fit!
My car has a slow puncture, which I discovered this morning, ready to drive to work ::)

One of the tyres had just 8psi (for the normal value of 32!). I drove really slowly to the next petrol station (quite close), pumped the tyre, and then drove to work. At the end of the day, to go home, it was at 17...
So I just went to Kwik Fit where they inspected it, patched wherever it was, and sent me home.
Argh, but at least it's fixed :)

Just spent my third evening this week sanding the deck, trying to get layers of old stain off enough that a new coat will take well.

No idea if this will work.
Probably won’t.

@ScarletBea, the homeowner thing does have its trials.   :-\

This is begging for another musical dedication and in this instance I believe it is allowable in this thread. For what is a pub without a piano player and a song now and then?

Specially for @ ScarletBea and

@Lady Ty, wonderful.
My only disappointment is that I had recalled the tune for the Hippopotamus song (next on YouTube video carousel) differently, and sing is with gusto all wrong.  ;D  8)

By, really, I had no idea about these gents or where the H song came from. Meanwhile, love the Gasman Cometh!

That was so evil that it almost inaugurated page number 666 of the King's Paws.

Thanks for the laugh.

I haven't had as much work as I expected, so fall break is going well. the only thing frustrating me right now is my thermostat. I can't remember if I turned it up my routine 4 degrees every morning, and I'm cold. I would turn it up to keep me warm, but I think my suite mate wouldn't be thrilled. I could ask him but... Pride.
Edit: Remembered that I have technology with cameras, and video called a friend. I have it set right, I'm just cold.

Aw, @ScarletBea, you are so sweet! I reached burnout last year and had to cut some things out of my life. Sadly, online activity was one of them. Life has settled down a bit, though, so I should come around more often.

Re sending this old DM from July as you may not have received to make sure you know you made the front page,  so glad you touched base ;D

Hi @SugoiMe, the Forum system is a bit broken and summonses aren't working, but we didn't want you to miss your story on the main page this week.

I know real life can be busy and its hard to keep up with online things, but hoping you are OK

All the best ;D

I remember that! Thanks for featuring me. I was so happy when I won I posted that short story on my website. My mom read it and told me it was really good. That’s the first time she ever noticed my creative works. Normally she writes those things off, but lately she’s been very enthusiastic about me getting my first book published. I’m working on the second now.

@SugoiMe, what is the link for your first book, if there is one yet?

I sadly don’t have a link for it yet. It’s not published. :-[

Thought you meant it was. Sorry.  :-[
But, hey! It’s written. More than I can say about my accomplishments!  :)
