I read literary fiction and historical fiction at times, but after speculative fiction I'd probably have to say non-fiction. I've always got at least one writing book and one book on some other subject (science, philosophy, etc.) going.

Erm... but there are SO MANY fantasy books and SO LITTLE time!! ;D

So yes, to be honest for fiction I'm just reading fantasy, hehe
I do read a bit of non-fiction at the same time: popular science (mainly physics) or health-related, or psychology (about assertiveness and similar stuff)

Before I discovered fantasy I loved historical fiction, and I still have loads of books of that genre that I'd like to re-read.

Historical fiction and non-fiction (mythology, history, archaeology)

... since I actually moved into reading serious fantasy, well, I've been reading only fantasy.  ;D

I used to read historical ficiton though (ones with lots of battles/ fights), and some works by Edgar Allan Poe.

Cookery/Food and Golden Age or older detective stories mostly now.
Used to like non fiction history best after SFF, but on Audible is hard to concentrate on and enjoy properly. You can mull over all kinds of fascinating history when you have the words right in front of you, and maps or footnotes etc to refer to as uou go, but audible goes by too fast. It is one area I miss quite badly,  because history is so vast and there is always more waiting and that of countries I have only skimmed or not even read about at all. Frustration. :'(

I basically just read spec-fic. Occasionally I dabble in historical fiction, but I rarely like it (I often find the worldbuilding unconvincing and the pacing weird). I've been mostly enjoying my forays into historical non-fiction in the past year or so, but I'm more interested in stuff that looks at what it was like to be human, rather than what happened.

Fantasy is first, but I like to read nonfiction and poetry. And sometimes the classics and action/adventure stories.

I'm building a hard back library of historical fiction for the day when books go away... then the catastrophe that causes our dystopian future happens. That way I'll still be able to look back at what the world used to be. I use my kindle for fantasy and sci-fi. I won't need it in the dystopian future since I'll be living sci-fi and fantasy.

If I built a library for a dystopian future it would be full of DIY books, such as "easy grow your own food", "how to build a shed", "how to find underground water" and such ;D

But it would be so much more fun learning it all the hard way.  :)
