Wait I change my answer, definitely someone in The Shire. Easy. Life.

I'm not made out for battles. I need to find a good king/queen/princess/prince to whom I can be their loyal and intelligent advisor on non-military matters ;D

Jorg would love you  :P Isn't that why he had that guy as chancellor in book 2?
I'd be far too much of a fangirl with him...  ;) I think in that world I'd apply to be Garyus' assistant 8)

Or be the one that organises the Black Feather Three affairs :D

Good choices both and they could benefit from some organising. Think you would fit very well with the Black Feather Three and life would be more enjoyable than anywhere in the Broken Empire. ;D

Still trying to find safe and comfortable job. Tempted to join Mr.J in the Shire and cater parties for Hobbit Birthdays, but really would prefer a city.  Think I would love to work in The Folly and cook for Nightingale and Peter Grant, but would have to be sure Molly didn't mind.

To work for me I would love the unforgettable Toot-Toot and his tiny pizza eaters from Dresden Files. To those who have not met him, you should. ;D

They do need a lot of pizza to keep them happy, though.

I wish I was a Bridgenurner working under Whiskeyjack or Rake's chief of commanders 8)

An easy life in Shire also looks promising :)
Kallor shrugged. 'I've walked this land when the T'lan Imass were but children. I've commanded armies a hundred thousand strong. I've spread the fire of my wrath across entire continents, and sat alone upon tall thrones. Do you grasp the meaning of this?'

'Yes' said Caladan Brood. 'You never learn'

Wow, talk about opposite ends of the spectrum (in danger, hardship and likelihood of getting killed ;D )

I wanna live my life in extremes. Might be both extreme danger or extreme leisure :)

Not sure about this one. I don't think I've ever actually read a book about a world I would actually want to live in.

And where I live is pretty much already the shire.

Eventually this becomes a question of who would make me least dead... I think I'd choose Bugg and Tehol from Malazan. They have a good track record. Even their dead get... erm... upgrades.

OMG I'm either too predictable or have too good a memory...

I saw the topic, started thinking on the question, came to the same conclusion, and even started making the same joke before I read the posts and saw I'd already posted it.

I think I'd go do a few jobs for Belgarath the Sorcerer. Hopefully, along the way, I get mad enough to say a word and throw a boulder across a field with my mind.  Now that would be a job perk.

No one has said Lord Vetinari yet?? Maybe I'm peculiar, but the idea of working for someone intelligent, capable and committed to improvement in the area of local politics is just dazzling. :D

Dumbledore (when he was alive, I suppose). In Hogwarts in general, I suppose. Can teach social studies or PE or something.
