What are your most controversial opinions?
« on: June 23, 2019, 03:58:35 AM »
I presume everyone has some that they rarely voice since reactions are not likely to be supportive...let's hear some of them.

To start this.....I support cannibalism, polygamy, legally assisted dying, decriminalization of suicides and increased use of death penalty.

Not just free for all, but within a legal structure that'll prevent misuse.

I don’t enjoy Sanderson novels along with Robin Hobb,Terry Pratchet and GGK.

Also I thought  the lord of the Rings movies were boring.

I've considered becoming a vegetarian more than once.

I've tried twice. First one lasted one month, second lasted 3 months. I'm thinking going back to vegetarian in a month :)

If it's not related to the animal issues and it's more about the actual food, then there's no reason why you can't be 'part vegetarian' - that's what I am, actually. There are weeks when I don't eat any meat or fish, and I hardly ever eat red meat anyway. Lots of veggie yummy food :)

I was born in a vegetarian family. I eat meat nowadays but really can't understand the addiction to it. I can live by most diets except seafood which I'm allergic to. Possibly the only thing I crave after some time is rice, but just occasionally.

It's a bit of both (animal welfare and health, too). I agree there's good vegetarian food—I'm already halfway there.

I don't like the taste of alcoholic drinks.

Seconded this.

I actually had a lot of these since, only a last week, I've just managed to self-diagnose that I've been a kind of  sociopath my entire life. It pretty much explained why I lack basic feelings of empathy for others and could imagine hurting people in twisted and controversial ways over very small matters. Pretty much explained why most of my MCs are either psychopaths or extremely hostile/ ruthless too.

Also I don't really care about the environment-saving things much since I'm going to die alone without any descendants anyway.

Mee too! I cannot drink anything with alcohol in it. My stomach can't take it. It must be about my enzymes. I can't drink milk too.

Hmm. Arguably true.

I always suspected there was a sadistic tyrant under that friendly exterior.
