I became an adult and bought a minivan yesterday and did so willingly and with excitement.  Whatever is left of my teenage self is stunned into disbelief.
So, what exactly is an american minivan?
Is it anything like a SUV?

Its close to an SUV.  The biggest difference is that they have sliding back doors:

They're basically kid movers.  Easy to get in & out, TVs on the back of the front seat, able to sit a bunch of people.

True story, I had a purple minivan like this in Kurdistan/Northern Iraq. We called it the SMAV: Soccer Mom Assault Vehicle. We disabled the sensors so we could open the sliding side doors while rolling - and inside we had belt-fed machine guns. We lined the rear-most compartment with a thick Kevlar blanket. We blended right in :)

Woke up to breakfast in bed! I must have been tired - the bacon didn't wake me.
I'm not the oldest here, but I am old enough to feel old, nonetheless. 50! Wow! Inside, I still feel 15.
I sat down this morning with my coffee and wasted some time thinking, as is my habit, and I wrote this bit of fluff:

The sixteenth of the third month is quite a day for me,
Once a day of presents, cake and jubilee
Many days have come and gone, and some have left their trace,
They grayed my hair and bent my back, left lines upon my face

This sixteenth of the third month is quite a day for me,
Many things I’ve said and seen in half a century:
Quiet days and busy ones, and days that would not end,
Crowded days and gloomy ones, and days without a friend,
Weighty days of import, of risk and draining trials,
Days of rest and meaning, of laughter love and smiles.

The sixteenth of the third month is quite a day a for me,
The end of my beginning’s gone - where'd the swift time flee?
Just where my middle starts and stops I won’t know til the end,
When final fading moments close with no more left to spend.

The sixteenth of the third month, is quite a day for me,
My mind it likes to wander down paths that cannot be,
My eyes have ever seen the world not as it is but could be,
My heart has loved what was and is and isn’t now – but should be.

Are you sure that's a route and not a prayer wheel?

I am planting my birthday present today. It looks like Charlie Brown's Christmas Tree now, but someday, it will look like this. You'll have to zoom out, I are dum and can't resize photos.

Spoiler for Hiden:

Spoiler for Hiden:

just write "height=300" (or a similar number) inside the first img tag.
See what I did with your pic :)

Lovely, by the way!

Thanks Ms. Scarlet! Here goes. This is my tree now:

And this is poor Cosmo, exhausted from sunning himself while I played in the dirt:
