How good would it be to be able to run on threadmill, with VR goggles on and a race route is uploaded with all the uphills and downhill (I think no threadmill supports downhill running atm).

You can see the nature of your race route while training :)

I think it's well established by now that I'm eccentric. So occasionally I decide to just lean into it. After making some plans and finding the right materials I went to the crafts hangout I sometimes make use of and got some help with making a medieval-style hooded cloak. And yes, I AM going to wear it in public in place of a jacket, when the weather fits.
I'll notify your next of kin... that you sucked!

Pair it up with some tall boots and you might start a trend!

What with the medieval style already maybe add in a chain mail vest or a gauntlet or two, just saying.  ;D

Send us a pic (preferably with the extras) :)

Just curious. Has anyone ever read any Turkish authors? Or heard of any?

No need to be sorry :) I'm only curious. Haven't you even heard of any, say, Orhan Pamuk (Nobel prize winner)?

Oh I thought you meant just fantasy writers.
Yes, I've heard of him, although I wouldn't remember if you'd ask me to name him.

I think it's the same with Portuguese writers. Again, the one that people have heard is José Saramago because of the Nobel prize, or Fernando Pessoa at a stretch (poet).

Not fantasy :) I took a picture last day. Here, you can see it's Fantastic Literature :)

I just figured out the reason for the many completely useless silent "gh"s in English. They are leftovers from German words that include the sound "ch".

night / Nacht
knight / Knecht (though today we use Ritter/rider for that.)
right / recht (both in the directon, being correct, and justice)
tight / dicht (it has many meanings, but one of them is sealed)
thought / (ge)dacht
through / durch
high / hoch
neighbor / Nachbar

"ch" in German is actually two different sounds, but both of them do no longer exist in English.

And speaking of knight, in German that "k" is also not silent. Same thing with knee/Knie and knot/Knoten.

You people are in serious need of a spelling reform.  ;D

By popular demand, here is a photo of me in my new cloak. (Scarf added for a bit of mystery)

Nice. But the white fluff in hood ruins the air of menace and mystery.

Also your pose reminds me of a vampire somehow. You should be crouching with a knife in hand.  ;D
