I ran my first 10K today :)
Kallor shrugged. 'I've walked this land when the T'lan Imass were but children. I've commanded armies a hundred thousand strong. I've spread the fire of my wrath across entire continents, and sat alone upon tall thrones. Do you grasp the meaning of this?'

'Yes' said Caladan Brood. 'You never learn'

Congrats.

If you like to have some fun while running, I'd recommend the Zombies Run app. Gives you a fun training schedule.

Thanks Bender, I'll give it a try. Boredom is more deadlier than fatigue :)

I had like 5,000 posts to go, hahah. I think that'll take five years, at least.  ;D

Well, we're having our first real snowfall over here.

I just got back from driving to the tire shop to have my winter tires put under, and I had two unpleasant incidents of the car sliding uncontrollably. The guy at the shop told me they're dealing with the biggest backlog they've ever seen. They won't finish with my car today, and possibly not even tomorrow. I still left it behind, because I sure wasn't going to drive back in these conditions. I probably wouldn't have gotten it uphill anyway.

And I'm now enjoying a reminder of just how fatiguing it is to walk in snow. Add a little resistance to each step and it really adds up. And I'm in for some serious muscle stiffness in the coming days, because walking on ice requires clenching leg and back muscles that normally see very little use.
I'll notify your next of kin... that you sucked!

I expect to read some of this in your next book.  ;D

28 posts!!!!
Now you have a perfectly good reason to hang around here more and post, pretty please ;D
(no worries, I understand why you don't, take your time)

And Eli, wow!
Here it wasn't snow, but there's quite a chilly wind, and I ended up buying a beanie this morning - that will teach me not to come prepared... I sort of needed another one anyway.

I'll be on my way home soon, stopping halfway to visit the Civil War Centre. For all I know about English history, I'm seriously lacking in that era, so it'll be interesting.

The Civil War is a rather neglected era I do find. We love our Tudors and the World Wars. Even the War of the Wars and the Napoleonic wars seem to have got a few tv series and documentaries recently. But Civil War ... not so much ...
