5s sounds more like they were teaching Lean and that's a 20 minute segment not 8 hours surely?
Never underestimate the power of stretching training stuff ;D

I just got home from a Carols Service and I'm all up and singing :D

Yes, it was LEAN, and it was probably closer to 6 hours when you take out the lunch, etc.

So it was a lean lunch.
But was it tasty?

I've sometimes toyed with the idea of setting a story in an enlightened, advanced fantasy society...

(I'd justify it with magic or divine intervention or whatever)

... and making the villains awful and obnoxious purely by being a realistic medieval society.

These thoughts made a comeback just now, as I was reading about various moral panics and anti-enjoyment-of-life polemics through the ages.

Would it be awfully childish of me to include a foreign missionary who is basically an amalgamation of all the church's historical bullshit? A misogynist who doesn't bathe and goes on and on about the sinfulness of dice, theatre, music, bathhouses, the printing press, homosexuality, dining forks, festivals, dancing... aaand I could go on.

Since I can't time travel to call people idiots to their face, this seems like the second best option.

Or you could make them an American fundamental evangelist preacher from the 1980's-present and get a sub set of all of the above...

Edit: and as for forks. Nasty effete French invention to allow you to shake the sauce off your meat, just eat your sucket as the gods intended.

Everything I wrote above is pure conjecture. I don't know what I'm talking about.

I'm a perfectionist but not very good at anything. That's why I rarely finish things.
