I honestly don't understand restaurants here: why are there so few open for lunch on Sundays? You'd assume that's when they make most money, people going out for a weekend meal at lunch time and  staying home in the evening because they're working the day after, and yet most are just open for dinner instead of lunch...
I'm trying to book a birthday meal, it's a sunday this year, and I have almost no choice... I think it'll have to be a dinner.
Really? That sounds stupid. In Germany Monday is usually the day they're closed.

Awe, thank you! You’re the sweetest! Things have been up and down lately.

I hope you’re doing well too and everyone else here. :)

The UK has rather restrictive opening hours laws when it comes to Sunday so it could be that. Although I have to admit, I've not particularly run into this problem myself...

... but then I'm usually extremely unlikely to be trying to book anything for Sunday lunchtime other than some more sleep.

edit: Although I suppose it could be a lot of Yorkshire folk being traditional and going around their mum's for Sunday Lunch.

Come to any country in East/ Southeast Asia.  ;D Even if you're hungry at 3:30 am. on the night of a long weekend, you'd still find dozens of things to eat just right around the corner.

It’s about 5 in the morning. Heading over to hospital in a few minutes for laparoscopic cholecystectomy. Er, gall bladder gotta come out. Looks like I’ll have some time to read and write next week!

Good luck JMack! My dad had gallstones and had cholecystectomy some years ago too. Nothing changed much, it's just that you'll have to eat less fatty foods (which are good for the health in a long run anyway). My well wishes!  :D

Did you ask them to give it to you after the surgery? Perfect material to start cloning yourself in your secret basement laboratory!

One thing for sure, this is a piece of cake compared to open heart surgery!
I am home and reasonably comfy. Mrs. JMack is making chicken soup and chocolate pudding.
I’m not going to tell her that food rewards are a bad way to train me not to have surgery.  ;D
