VHS? DVD's? What are these things? I have hulu plus, Netflix, Amazon Prime... :P
We still have a DVD player downstairs. I think there's a VHS thing... What are they called? ?CVR? Something like that. I haven't touched it in ages though.

Those services always seem incredibly overpriced to me. A DVD costs £1-£3, and we can watch it as many times as we want without paying more than that. Stuff like Netflix still seem to have really restrictive libraries too.  :-\

If you're wanting Netflix for movies you're better off doing Redbox or whatever the cheap option is where you live.   Where Netflix shines is for TV shows, they have so much to offer on that front.

When we moved we probably packed up 100 DVDs.  We still have yet to unpack them as we couldn't actually remember when we last watched any of them.

Thank you- Jmack, ScarletBea, AAV, Saraband  for all the lovely congrat comments on, courtesy AAV ,my Mist - reborning ;D
Wish I had Vin's powers as well, ScarletBea, but couldn't be trusted with any as I laughed guiltily about Jmack's comment re not sticking to rules. You noticed ? ?  ;)

Hedin congratulations to you as well, and particular thanks for all the enthusiastic work you have put in to Book Battles. I hope it has brought some new members into FF but even if only a few has generated so much interest and discussion here among us anyway.  ;D

Yup and normally I wouldn't have even mentioned it being a dead format, but I don't think you are going to find this on any of those and the DVD is £30+ in the UK.

I'm not sure if this is true or not, because I don't use Amazon Prime. But I think you can get movies on there for really cheap in a digital format. I could be wrong, though. Of course, considering how much it is per year, they better have good deals on whatever they offer.

It's not actually boring. I just couldn't think of anything to say, and have been wanting to post that emoticon for ages.  8)
