Peat, "bisongrass vodka"? :o

Cherie, that's the advantage of living alone, one cook, 2 or 3 meals ;D Yesterday I made a pasta bake with extra vegetables, that will be enough for 3 meals, hehe

Comes from Poland. Zubrowka. Not really sure how to describe it, but it's basically vodka tasting and goes good with apple juice.

I would wow you with what I'm cooking as well, but my wife foolishly came up with a menu of her dishes for this week and I didn't argue.

I tried to bake American cookies, put too much flour and then burnt it. I learn from my mistakes, tomorrow I'll try again :)
Kallor shrugged. 'I've walked this land when the T'lan Imass were but children. I've commanded armies a hundred thousand strong. I've spread the fire of my wrath across entire continents, and sat alone upon tall thrones. Do you grasp the meaning of this?'

How are they different from regular cookies?

Not sure. The recipe said it was American Cookie. It looked like Starbucks cookies, that could be why it was named American.

I was thinking the same thing.  ;D What's next, Italian Pizza, British bread and German muffins?

Places will advertise Italian or American pizza here... I guess once you get outside the place of origin, there's also going to be descriptors attached.

Just thought I'd ask:

I've started a new standalone fantasy novel. It's set in a city inspired by film noir tropes, with some magic and weirdness thrown in. And a twist...

Is anyone interested in being a casual beta reader? As in, just thoughts on story and characters, not spelling?

Hit me up (I think you have my email address?) but be warned that I hate everything I read at the moment.

Wow. That’s hard; I hope it’s truly just May.

Jmack, this is Europe: I'm going to not work and receive the same salary (government covers 80%, company tops up the rest).
It must be a mind-blow for you, but definitely not hard for me, hehe...

It's a 3-week period minimum and different people will be out/in at different times, so that work doesn't really stop.

Unrelated to anything else, I am embarking on one of my occasional cooking experiments. I'm going to cook smoked pork tonight, which is nothing new to me. But I am currently making my first attempt at homemade ice cream, for dessert. I'm excited to see how it turns out.

^ oh, I hope it doesn't make a significant difference to you, Eclipse!
Yes, that is specific to each company - I also think that if it's more than 3 weeks, it will stop.
