Having never read Feist I found that to be somewhat overwhelming

No idea what you mean. :D I thought as long as it has happened a long long long long time ago, everything is possible. Even gods riding on dragons through space to conquer new worlds. ;)

These last days have been pretty up and down for me, but today was a big up: I went to the Beer Baths again. They are a recent-ish attraction a little drive north up the fjord, and I went there two years ago.

Now I had myself driven there, and started with a stay in the outside hot tub, beer in hand, with a lovely view out the fjord. The centre of said view was Hrísey, an inhabited island.

Then I went inside and into the beer bath itself. It involves entering a private room, where a big, wooden tub has been prepared with a mixture of beer, hops, bath salts and other things that are apparently great for your skin. You get to soak in it for 25 minutes, and drink as much regular beer as you want from a tap next to the tub.

THEN you go up carpeted stairs to a relaxation room, where you're tucked into a bed/couch thing, and just chill for 25 minutes more. Then after that you have an option to enter a steam-less sauna.

It was great. And yes, my skin does feel good.
I'll notify your next of kin... that you sucked!

Whew! Glad you said you drank beer from a tap instead of a tub.  :o

What's the fun in that? I want a tub or a barrel Vikings style at least.

Do you drink the water from your bath, then? ;)

Just not the one you soaked in for an hour first?

Hell no.

I always wanted to build my own barrel bar. Put a small refrigerator inside a barrel, some shelves for bottles and glasses on top. Probably a wine rack on top of the fridge ... Perhaps when I can afford a home and move out of the apartment.

OKAY!

Can someone here please, PLEASE, PM me and walk me through how adblockers work??

Youtube has been shoving that GOD-DAMNED Game of Thrones browser game into my face so relentlessly that it's driving me insane. I'm completely and utterly sick of that cello tune and I need it to stop!

I got one called "AdBlock", I think it's specific for Chrome.
