Do you really think Google is making us all stupid? I think it's both beneficial and detrimental, we depend on it way to much but it also makes learning new things way easier :-\

Its a tool like any other. The problem lies in people who no longer know what to do when they cant find the answers on Google

In your case, Google is something you can use more to your advantage. Of course it doesn't make us stupid. It offers access to a lot of information. What you pick in that sea of material is what can make you stupid, if anything.
In total honesty i believe you should not* worry about google, and wonder more about stupid tv shows and gossipmongers.

I wonder if this same question was asked when encyclopedias were invented.

"Will getting your information from encyclopedias -- instead of from stories passed down from your ancestors -- make you stupid?"

Maybe I'm reaching here. :)
