Free speech (or not) - and some tea

I don't see any signs of grimdark in fantasy slowing down just because some people don't want to read it.

And free speech prevents the government from locking you up. It doesn't--and shouldn't--stop people refusing to pay money to hear what you have to say.

There is a chilling effect in the UK at the moment about causing offence along with some badly made and interpreted law is causing a few issues. While I think we are still a pretty free place to live the country has changed in it’s social outlook since 2012. We actually have different standards for radio, TV and Film and books at the moment with books least affected, but caution seems to be the order of the day.

@Rostum Have you seen that certain type of people now want Yorkshire tea banned now because a political figure was filmed drinking Yorkshire tea because there didn’t agree with his politics.

I'm a bad person, I'm not that keen on black tea and just drink herbal (many combinations)...

Is that the new slang for weed?  8)

But...but...herbal tea doesn't have any caffeine. How do you even stay awake?  ;)

I can't drink black tea - it gives me a stomach ache - but I drink lots of rooibos.

...coffee? :)

I'm on the herbal. I thoroughly recommend having one Lemon & Ginger and one Cranberry & Raspberry in the same cup  8)

I love this tangent ;D sorry, Eclipse...

Oooh that sounds great! I stopped buying red fruits because I found it too sickening, but combined with Lemon might be perfect!

At the moment the ones I've got open are peppermint and lemongrass loose leaf, and just finished a box of turmeric.
At home I got a couple of boxes I got for my birthday, can't really remember which: they're from T2 (australian!), which have got amazing combinations (I've had apple pie in the past hehe)

Yup, I found the red fruit stuff the same way - the lemon and ginger balances it out beautifully, and takes away the ginger burn too. Doesn't work as well as Mango and Strawberry.

I've got far too much tea, including some T2 stuff my wife got for free (really good!). Hmm, I really want tea now, and to mix something up...

I saw the video. The reaction's incredible. Yorkshire Tea doesn't have any connection with the politician, who was just showing off a bag of tea in a video. He wasn't even promoting it.

And yet somone somewhere can take faux offense and boycott a business because they don't like a person using the product.

How is saying "I think we should boycott a company for a ridiculous nonsensical reason" not also an exercise of free speech?
