Trump wrote a stupid, third-grade-level letter to Erdogan which wasn't received kindly.

Here's the letter:

Here Erdogan's reaction:

I actually thought that was a joke :o

I want to submit that letter as a Writing Contest entry for 2 Themes that don't Fit Together.  The 2 themes are Trump, and being on the right side of history.

This is getting absurd :-\
Kallor shrugged. 'I've walked this land when the T'lan Imass were but children. I've commanded armies a hundred thousand strong. I've spread the fire of my wrath across entire continents, and sat alone upon tall thrones. Do you grasp the meaning of this?'

'Yes' said Caladan Brood. 'You never learn'

According to some sources, Erdogan responded by chucking it straight in the bin.

Which would be a kind of sensible thing to do. You can't plan policies on whatever random thought Trump spontaneously shouted out loud today. Chances are high he says something different tomorrow or claims he never said it.

The next G7 meeting venue is a Trump resort as the US Govt "cannot find a more suitable place". The resort coincidentally is in a decline and desperately needs a boost.  ::)

Government funds going straight into the president's private pocket.

How could a conservative law and order party ever support that?

I just found an article in The Independent about a businessman in China who hired a hitman to kill a business rival. The hitman then hired another hitman to do the job for him. This hitman then went on to hire another hitman. This went on until the fifth hitman was hired, who then approached the man he'd been hired to kill and offered to help him fake his own death. In the end no one died and they all got caught.

That is AMAZING.

I am now going to look that up.

And everyone of them was only paid half of the money the hiring hitman got, so you can figure out how qualified the fifth hitman must've been to accept the job for a few dollars.

So, did anyone else see that footage of Trump attending a baseball game; almost the only time he's been near a crowd not specifically selected for him beforehand? And he got brutally booed and seems to be on the verge of crying?

I don't normally feel gleeful at someone's misery, but this time I do.

I mean, he just looks like a kid who found out Christmas has been cancelled. It's kind of sad because he is clearly psychologically unwell; his entire world is about what people think of him, but he usually shields himself from anything that might suggest they don't love him (or respect him, or fear him). I really hope this broke his delusion, but I doubt it. I've met full-blown narcissists in my previous work in psychiatry and they simply cannot be wrong -- their minds will twist the facts to fit their reality, and then that becomes their truth.

I feel for the eight year old boy that just wanted to be loved, but I'm afraid he's dead for a long time and now we got this thing that pretends it is a normal human being (or even a stable genius).
