Don't forget that they're all a bunch of corrupt sociopathic psychos so they're unlikely to do anything unless they perceive direct personal gain

Correct. The Republicans in Congress have proven they care nothing about the US or others. They only care about enriching and protecting themselves. They will hem and haw and send concerned tweets, but as far as actually doing anything about Trump? Absolutely not. Self-serving traitorous dick weasels.

Yes, my opinion of Musk went pretty much downhill after this :(

Wait, what?

WHAT?

Sue them for what exactly??

And for that matter, why would they sue the hotel??

Unrelated to that, I think my earlier question has been answered: Trump is definitely an active and willing agent of Vladimir Putin.

I really think their conversation should have been about the golden showers extortion thing instead of the DNC hack. Trump is better with those topics

My take would be

Musk: I am really clever I will design a submersible capable of the rescuing the boys.
Actual diver running the British team: there are 5 sumps, but caverns and caves and drops to negotiate
Commander of operations: Thank you Mr Musk its very clever but not what we need
Musk: British guy living in Thailand must be a peado right? (to 22 million twitter followers)
Musks's Lawyers: get that shit deleted before you get sued
British Diver:I am considering suing as my reputation has been subjected to an attack.

Musk is very much in the wrong here and actually attacked a guy involved in the rescue who put himself at risk underground. I don't feel it's a pissing contest more a slanderous attack by a tantrum throwing sociopath

It all sort of begs the question, what was musk (or a lot of other Pete for that matter) even doing there?

From the BBC https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-44864739 Mr Trump said he had reviewed the transcript and realised he needed to clarify. "In a key sentence in my remarks, I said the word 'would' instead of 'wouldn't," he said. "The sentence should have been: 'I don't see any reason why I wouldn't' or 'why it wouldn't be Russia'. Sort of a double negative."

A grammar problem?

Nah, comprehension. Nobody has ever explained to him what liar means and how it is not bigly desirable to be one.

A grammar problem?

If by grammar you mean being in the pocket of a Russian dictator, then yes, Trump has a grammar problem. A tremendous problem, as many people have said.  ::)
