I had a sudden inclination to change my pen name to S. K. Korvach/ kovacs. What do you guys think about it? (I want to insert a poll but had no idea how to do that lol)

S. K. Kovacs

S. K. Korvach

Same old S. K. Inkslinger

What do you guys think about it?

Kovacs makes me think of the inimitable Ernie, but there, my age is showing. It's a perfectly good name, though.

Personally, I never name my pens.

They sound fine to me, but the real test is how much you like it.

Kovacs would be pronounceable by native English speakers. Who knows what grunts they would make based on Kovach.

The hypothetical possibility that one day people would say my name in public was the reason I chose to use Martin Christopher instead of my full name. Not much risk of mangling there.

Like S K Inkslinger best because it is clearly made up but fun and memorable.

As for Kovacs/Kovach etc it has so many pronounciations depending on where it originates that none are definitively correct and you can take your pick. So if you change here are a few alternatives  ;D.But please stay the same Inks.

Koval in Ukraine (also Kovalchuk, Kovalenko, Kovalev)
Kowal in Poland (also Kowalczyk, Kowalski)
Kovach, the Carpatho-Ruthenian form.
Kovács, Kováts or Kovách in Hungary.
Kovác in Slovakia.
Kovár (also Ková?) in Czech Republic.
Kovaçi in Albania.
Covaci in Romania.

And of course there is the universal rule that no matter what you choose, someone will pronounce it in an unexpected way.

Since a lot of people seemed to like my old pen name, I'm sticking with Inky then.  :D Yay!
