Found out that the music from "Sigur Ros" (its a band from Iceland, they sing in a fantastic language) is just perfect for reading fantasy.
on their homepage you can download free samples, try it!

well, good question, often I read alone and in silence but if I write a short story or a poem and I have been listening to a specific track (My writing music is always Two Steps from Hell or Audiomachine - nothing with lyrics) I find the music fits the story and I will read it with the music and it actually connects me with the story on another level. Same if there is a scene in a book that I thinks works with a certain track - I will read it again with the music to get the most out of it.
