So Bradley was right? Should I add you to the calendar?

And more pressing: How do you know when you're going to die? ;)

Ha, I remember that at the time I signed up for F-F, I was paranoid about giving out my birthdate, since it can be used as a security question. Given my info has already been leaked by corporations a dozen times by now, it probably no longer matters. But yup, birthday is January 5, and I am now officially 41.

My thinking is I'll kick off right about 82. I could probably live longer if I stopped eating bacon cheeseburgers and pizza and other delicious food, but those years are sucky years where you can't really move about well and generally quality of life is poor. So I figure I'll be much happier enjoying my bacon cheeseburgers now and skipping the old age applesauce. :)

Sorry Teb-- I didn't realize you didn't have your bday on the list when I oh-so-indiscreetly leaked your bday. Perhaps we should put your bday as a couple of days earlier than it really is-- that'll protect your identity and also around here most ppl will actually wish you a on time that way

Oh no worries man, I appreciated the shout out! Like I said, given literally every credit union/bank/large corporation has had it's user data compromised by now, my shit is all over the dark web already. These days you should just assume someone's going to try to steal your identity and set up accordingly (I use Lastpass, 2 factor authentication, etc).

As far as my birthday, that cat's out of the bag, down the street, killing birds and probably peeing on something.

Never ever use genuine information for security questions. Fake information is far more secure.

Thanks everyone!

The sixteenth of the third month is quite a day a for me,
Once a day of presents, cake and jubilee
Many days have come and gone and some have left their trace,
They grayed my hair and bent my back, left lines upon my face

The sixteenth of the third month is quite a day it's true,
Many things I’ve said and seen on the path to 52:
Quiet days and busy ones, and days that didn't end,
Crowded days and gloomy ones, with rules that wouldn't bend,
Weighty days of import, of risk and draining trials,
Days of rest and meaning, of laughter love and smiles.

The sixteenth of the third month is quite a day for me,
The end of my beginning’s gone - where did the swift time flee?
Just where my middle starts and stops I won’t know til the end,
When final fading moments close with no more left to spend.

The sixteenth of the third month, is quite a day a for me,
My mind it likes to wander down paths that cannot be,
My eyes have ever seen the world not as it is but could be,
My heart has loved what was and is and isn’t now – but should be.

Writing poems that rhyme
is not an easy thing to do,
but today the Cutter of the Gems
  is a ripe old fifty-two!
So freeverse can take a seat
  somewhere near the back:
rhyming's the flavor of the day
if I can stay on track.
Happy birthday, goes the song,
and I wish you many more
full of warrior wizards battle plans
  and other exciting lore.
Your poems and stories are a treat to read
we never know what's in store
Keep it up, the cutter of the gems,
  you leave us wanting more.
May your birthday be full of fun
and the coming years a blast.
May this year be made of treasured memories
like every year until your last!

Happy birthday TGC
