Ok people, it's my Bday today. I turn 25!

But I need your help! I was bornb at 8.36am in Paris, France. It's now 10am where I am but... I'm in Melbourne, in Australia! It's in France's future! In Paris, my bday hasn't come yet! So, what should I believe? Is my birthday moving around with me regardless of travel through earthly time?
Or is it fixed to my timeline, and will come when Paris reaches the anniversary of my birth?

Happy Birthday Nora, what a fanastically wonderful age to be, enjoy  :D

Easy answer to your problem - as you're in Oz you get a birthday that starts at 12.01am in Melbourne on 10th April but doesn't end until its 11.59pm in Dublin on 10th April ( nearest City I can think of reasonably west of Greenwich ). I think this gives you about  a 33 hour birthday but someone else will probably be more accurate. So party on, dude, and on and on and on....  ;D

Happy Birthday, @Nora.
Here is my theory. Collect the hours' difference between there and there, in a jar with a time-tight lid. Then use it strategically in the future, when you need a week when no one else does anything and you have the run of the town.
Change, when it comes, will step lightly before it kicks like thunder. (GRMatthews)

Happy birthday @Nora
Travelling around the world has nothing to do with time travel as it's a simple convention based on the stance of the sun. (After all how would you determine it in an empty space?) Your bday is the hour in paris when you were born, so when it's 8:36 there, it's your bday. Happy birthday!

Happy Birthday!!! :D

I'll go with the theory that your birthday starts at midnight of the 10th, wherever it first appears in the world time zones, and ends at 23.59 of the 10th, wherever it last appears in the world - many many hours of birthday! ;D

Have some cake!

Happy birthday @Nora!

I'm with Bea on this one: As long as it's the 10th of April in some place on this globe, it's still your birthday.  :)
Everything I wrote above is pure conjecture. I don't know what I'm talking about.

I'm a perfectionist but not very good at anything. That's why I rarely finish things.

Merci tout le monde!!!  ;D

I bought myself fancy op-shop dresses, bought some food to cook myself a proper dinner, about to take the pear-apple-chocolate crumble out of the oven!
I also made some advances in my short story for the month, listened to the same techno track round and round, caught the tram without paying... A flat mate offered me beer and wine. It was a lovely day!
So thanks a lot to y'all!
