Oh that xiagan... making up birthdays (and months) since 2017.  ;D
Well, I don't mind having a second birthday, like Inky has (even though he tries to deny it).  :P ;)

Thank you for all the non-birthday wishes.

Happy birthday, Eli!
Have a wonderful day and year full of success.

Here a cake that reflects one of my favourite places in Iceland, Gullfoss - I'll never forget the sight of it almost completely frozen, it was amazing.

Thanks guys.

I celebrated with my friends Saturday evening, with beers and a game of Cards Against Humanity. Now on the actual day I'm about to go for 50 minutes of relaxation massage, to be followed up by an evening at a restaurant with family.

Just got back from that restaurant, where if it's your birthday you get a free ice cream dessert, and you get to pick a song to be played over the speakers. With the caveat that it must be an Icelandic song. So I went with one from the first CD I ever bought, back in 1997:

Happy fake-birthday @ArcaneArtsVelho
Happy real birthday @Idlewilder and @Eli_Freysson

A belated thanks to everyone who offered me birthday wishes last month! I've been in and out of town quite a bit and trying to get the WIP polished enough for subs by Jan.

Spoiler for Hiden:
I actually got back in town from one of my trips just before my birthday, took my car, covered in muck and spider-webs out of someone's yard under a tree, wiping it off with a shirt and water bottle, still unable to see out of the window, jump started it.  It died halfway home, some random guy helped me push the car around the corner, jumped it again, parked it next to my mechanics, he gave me a wrench the next day and had me go take my battery  out to charge it, put it back in. It wouldnt start, got a friend to park opposite me, coorindating with a million people to clear space to jump it.  Wouldn't start. some guy on a bike said I needed starter fluid. I sprayed it in this tube I pulled out leading to the engine, then he said i needed gas, spend a bunch of $ on a plastic gas tank, got more gas.  Still wouldn't start, f*ed with it and the starter spray, after hours finally got it started, drove it to an auto-zone and bought a new battery, took it to a car wash, got in at 1am covered in muck.
Since I was just trying to sell it, insurance and tags were expired. Appearantly you can get towed for that so while I was asleep someone towed my car.  It was impounded and it was going to cost me so much to get it out (in addition to a 4-hour trip to the DMV to get special tag thingy) that I just left the car in the impound.  I told them I could give them the title and they were like "You need to pay us 133$ if you want us to auction it off"  and I was like fuck that and decided to just leave it and they could send me to collections or whatever and I just won't pay it. Then I got pneumonia.
Yay happy birthday to me.

I am now happily on the beach, re-writing my WIP. Wish me luck!

Good luck @J.R. Darewood! I hope that your WIP becomes the biggest hits and someday be on the front shelves of every bookstore.  :D  I'd given up on that myself, so I'm really in full support of my friends here who would probably have a better chance than I did. May the ink on your pen never ran dry, and happy writing!
