Fantasy blogs you recommend to read
« on: April 05, 2015, 08:50:10 PM »
We got a list for the sites of known writers and for our own sites, but there doesn't seem to be any for those of other people that are worth reading.

I am always looking for more. Anything you recommend that is in some way about fantasy books, movies, and related stuff?
I really only have the Fantasy Faction main page and Black Gate and could always use more to read.

Tor.com is always worth a look. They have new releases in various genres, book reviews, TV show reviews, original short fiction, what's happening in the world of genre, articles, interviews, readalongs, pretty much everything really.
I will expand your TBR pile.

I was going to ask if you wanted publishers' sites as well.

I read:

* Gollancz blog (http://www.gollancz.co.uk/)
* Hodderscape (the SFF branch of Hodder & Stoughton) (http://hodderscape.co.uk/)
* Tor (http://www.torbooks.co.uk/)
* A Dribble of Ink (http://aidanmoher.com/blog/)

Then I read regularly the blogs from 2/3 regular F-F posters, and 3 of my favourite authors, checking other authors' blogs when I remember (I need to add them to my bookmarks, actually...)
At home in the Fantasy Faction forum!

All of the above mentioned are great. Here's a few more that tend to read. Personally, I like having a number of review blogs that I check out to help keep up on what is being released and to see if there is consensus on if a book is well received of not. So, having several reviewers with similar taste lets me know what I'm missing out on when they all agree some book is an amazing Must-Read book:

Fantasy Review Barn
Books Bones and Buffy

I could list more if you are interested. :)

Always. Personally I'm particularly interest about sites that don't just do reviews but also discuss various thoughts and ideas in fantasy entertainment in general.
