I just felt like sharing an old favourite. Cracked.com put up a bunch of fake book covers for people who were embarrassed to be seen reading Harry Potter in public. This was one:

(P.S: Read the text)

I seriously have to get myself these fake book covers. Train rides are going to be so amusing now.

I've watched a few of the really old Doctor Who episodes, and while the effects haven't aged terribly well good writing isn't anything new. Like that moment when the Doctor asked a group of people for the shortest way out of a building, and they all pointed in different directions.

I’d like to think that was a very snarky and funny put-on.
I hope.  :o

I need to join a forum/fb group for grumpy old men who regularly facepalm when they see things written by Millenials on the internet.

I think the odds of stuff like this being jokes aren't negligible...

The first one probably was, but I still find myself getting grumpy every time I see a millennial headline or product that missuses words, oblivious to meaning, reference, and connotation.  Or waxes poetic with grandiose overstatements about popular culture ("Is the superhero movie the new secular religion" keeps popping up as a recommendation on pocket). There's no sense of history, and every 5 second fad is worshiped in this completely oblivious way. I need a place to complain about millennials like a grumpy old man who's angry about the neighborhood children running in his yard.

'Gee we love your Windsor Castle, but why did they build it so close to the airport?'

Favourite question for tour guides. A sense of time should never be taken for granted.
