Just think for a moment, people who would believe this are allowed to drive cars.

Yeah, your links doesn't end with .jpg, .png or any other image format, thus they can't work with the [ img ] tags.

Works! :) Was the back side of the leaflet something like: Amazon pays zero taxes but the delivery of it's pakets cause road repairs that cost the tax payer XY Pounds? So and so many inner cities are a lot more boring now that the book shop closed, etc... ?

Not really, no attacks or negative comments on anyone, hehe I think they just assume that people know what the alternative is...

I know that Waterstone's is also a big chain, but at least it's got real shops, so I do try to buy from them, or independents when I find one.
However I had to buy @OnlyOneHighlander's book from amazon because it's not sold anywhere else, and same with Aliette de Bodard's latest, as it's her own self-pub - so sometimes you don't have an option...

A few years back, I used to love browsing my local bookstores too (I'm such a frequent visitor/ buyer that they remembered me). As time goes on, I ran out of books to buy since the options were so limited, end up browsing some online retailers and found a boundless horde of fantasy at my fingertips. Things rise and fall with time, I guess.

I just felt like sharing an old favourite. Cracked.com put up a bunch of fake book covers for people who were embarrassed to be seen reading Harry Potter in public. This was one:
