Dogs and Cats
« on: March 30, 2018, 08:36:53 AM »

Science has officially determined the answer to the rivalry between dogs (errr dog people) and cats (errr cat people). We finally have undisputed proof as to which animal is better.

 ;D

Being neither, I can sit on the sideline and watch the battle 8)

Edit after reading @Lady Ty's post: it's not that I don't like them, I just couldn't live with animals, and I don't feel passionate about them...
I can still say the baby ones are cute ;D

Liked all those articles, but we love our dogs because they love us and we love our cats because they don't. ;)
Cats can be cute cuddly and evil at the same time, that is awesome. Dogs are friendly and lovable and boisterous and that is fantastic.
Our family has had both and we adored all of them. Just sorry for people who don't like either, but I do understand that people can cat be allergic to fur.

...and the scientific proof there is that cats are better because they're just using us for their own needs, right?

Yes, I'm a cat person, why do you ask?

Cats are evil, and if they had opposable thumbs they'd take over the world and enslave the rest if us. Come on, we all know its true.

Only if they could do it between naps. ;)

Watched the Pixar movie “Inside Out” last night. For anyone who hasn’t seen it, it’s wonderfully funny and inventive. In each person there are 5 emotions who argue and cooperate with each other, helping their human through the day: joy, sadness, anger, fear, and disgust. No details on the rest, but a dog/cat spoiler:

Spoiler for Hiden:
during the credits, we get to see the emotions inside a bunch of minor characters. Then they shows them inside a dog and a cat. Hysterical. The dog is all about food; the cat’s emotions wander about aimlessly, then fear walks across the control keyboard like a piano and the cat goes batshit crazy at the dog.

I love all animals, and my pets enrich my daily life a great deal. I hope to one day get a $5,000 dog from a specific trainer to guard my family. It's as good a luxury dream as any.

In my research I happily ignored the articles that didn't support my thesis including one that points out that dog owners like action movies have lower IQs are less creative but make more money than car owners. Dog owners are also way more likely to throw their pet a full on birthday party than cat owners
