i'm coming!  i'm coming!  woo hoo!  i'm so excited to have a comic-con buddy!

we (me, my brother-in-law, my oldest son, and his best friend) will be there today.  my little family went yesterday for a while too.

the wife and my youngest son even dressed up and we took pictures:

comic-con is so fun.

heh.  okay, okay.  while it's super-fun, you also have to remember that we go all the time, with my first time almost a decade ago, so our pictures aren't as plentiful as most people's.

we love to go for the costumes and the general craziness.  and, it gives mrs. m3mnoch a reason to get all dressed up.  but, the lines for the panels are always WAY too long and you get better information reading the nerd-news sites anyway.

so comic-con, for us anyway, is purely about the spectacle!

(unless we go with someone like raph -- since he knows everyone personally, we get to hang out and chat with cool people behind the scenes)

however, we did take a few photos:

a photo of the mrs. m3mnoch and the youngest hanging out front of the spreckels theater, adoring conan the whole time:

they had a south park mini-land outside the convention center:

the oldest, like me, didn't dress up:

carrying a giant hammer through crowds is . . . interesting:

x-wing dragsters are AWESOME:

the oldest of my brood along with his best friend celebrate captain america's 75 birthday:

I think it's quite smart, you'll never lose each other because if you get separated, it'd be like "where's the giant hammer?" ;D

Thanks!
And I get it - when I go places I prefer to 'live them' rather than take lots of photos
