Right guys,

We have been talking about it for months and months but time is almost here to tell you our plans for a Fantasy-Faction Anthology. I've had a lot of e-mails and tweets in regards to making this thing happen and we've decided that 2012 is going to be the year we get going.

The Anthology is going to contain:
Short Stories from authors that I'm fairly certain all of you guys will be very, very familiar with! (couldn't have asked for a better list of authors!)
Short Stories that come from an open writing contest (anyone can enter - including you!)
Articles on writing and publishing from Writers, Publishers and Industry Experts
Articles on the Fantasy Genre and its evolution/current state from well known Fantasy Authors

I really hope you guys will get behind us with this project and we will be releasing further details on Monday in regards to how users can enter this competition and will also be launching a blog where you can follow our progress.

I just wanted to point something out right quick that i say on the Anthology site.  On your Rule page you have the max word count as 10K but on the entry page, and the home page i believe, you have it listed as 8K.  I'm guessing it's 8K, but just wanted to let ya know.

I just found out about this contest a couple of weeks ago and have put together a quick blueprint from my long list of "story ideas" file. Right now I'm only rounding out to completing it and I'm a bit intimidated to find out actual authors who already have published fantasy work, some twice my age and thrice the experience, are entering this too. But I'll try my best anyways, we all have to start somewhere :)
