What's New?
« on: September 27, 2012, 04:37:50 PM »
Hi guys, there seems to be a couple of threads evolved since subs closed with different conversations sometimes overlapping about whats going on. So thought I'd open up one as a one-stop-shop so to speak.

Are there any updates the All Powerful & Wonderful Readers can give us?

Any news on the cover release?

Any news on other authors appearing?

What times dinner?
To have an idea is not enough - no matter how good the idea is.

Updates are as follows:

We are done reading through submissions! :D We are now narrowing down our original picks to ten stories each. Those thirty stories are the long list. Once we have picked the long list, we will switch stories around and read the other two judge's picks and narrow it down to either three or five stories each. That will be the short list. Then I think we let the stories have a fight to the death or something? Because I have no idea how we are going to figure out which of the awesome stories on the short list are going to make it into the anthology. ;D

Cover art is done (and it's awesome!) and graphic design is in process! I believe we are going to release the cover art around when we release the winner list?

There are new author announcements...but they have yet to be announced. ;)

Dinner is when I say it is! Also, you will eat what I'm cooking and you will like it! ;D

So are the winners still going to be announced by the end of the month? Because that's Sunday...  :o

Yeah...about that. :P

I still have yet to receive Marc and Paul's long lists to review, so I'm thinking more like first week in October. Apparently they are having a hard time narrowing down their choices. :)

Totally understandable. That's not a job I want to do, tbh. To have a lot of great stories and to have to make decisions about which ones are slightly better. (Or maybe it's the other way round? All stories are crap and they have to decide which ones are less crappy? ;))

Definitely, Xi. I can't imagine reading 1700 stories and narrowing them down to the "best" six. I'll stick to writing the damn things.  :D

As long as you pick mine, take all the time you need, folks.  :P

Hope you have it by the first week of October though. -plays the song, I'm So Excited-
