Is it only me or does the Dragon lack a teeny bit of depth? It looks awesome, but I can't see the depth of it. It's face seems... flat  ???

It might be just me, though.

Are you looking at  computer screen or a smaller device eg phone? I get much better definition on my phone - looks noticably sharper and the colours are stronger compared to what I see on my laptop

It seems as if the artist was trying to come up with an original design rather than the old styled mythic dragon that we all know and love. It kind of reminds me of the dragons from the Monster Hunter PSP games. Still a cool design none the less. ;D
I saw them on the shores
the deepening pits of their gaze
vowed immortal war
against the sighing calm
of Jaghut seas . . .

I like it, good combination of sub-genres.  Also there is a dragon.  See?  There behind that guy with the gun.

This is me. As anyone who knows me knows - there was always going to be a Dragon ;)

So I take it Paul is the badass with the gun?  :D

I am always the badass with the gun! You can't see it because of the hat and mask but the artist perfectly captured my 'I'm being hunted through mist by a dragon, oh shit' face. :)

I knew I recognised that gas mask from Blackwells!  ;)

To express my awe, I now need to find an even better cover, if that's even possible. ;D

Will repeat what I said in comments section, that is 50 shades of awsome!

First, loving the cover.  It was not even close to what I expected, which is always a good thing.  If I question a bit about it, I'm pretty certain someone passing by it may as well, and isn't that what a covers supposed to do?

What about a story for those characters?  I could see several options - one already mentioned where the silent dragon is hunting the dragonhunter.  For me, I didn't take it that way cause... well, Dragons like that would probably have to be noisy.  So if it's not hunting the guy, then what is it doing and why is the hunter so nonchalant about the Dragon being there?

Questions - it's what makes good stories into great ones!

I see the anthology & new cover are already up on Goodreads.

Dunno if this is the finished wording or if someone's created their own?

Nope - this was to comply with Goodreads Rules (title and author name has to be on cover) - I knocked it up in Photoshop in about 5 minutes ;) We have someone working on the true text :)
