When it comes to, enb's, lighting, weather and shading mods you need to make sure the things you're installing are compatible, because a lot of them may, and usually do, conflict with one another. Normally the mod'd author will say in the description what mods are and are not compatible.

Yeah I've installed like a kajillion mods--
I'm pretty happy with my ENB, tho my hair and body replacers are probably conflicting with the new quest mods I've installed to randomly give some people black faces, it always happens in people added by a quest mod.  I still haven't figured how to make Eolund stop being a nudist.

Totally unrelated: I find instagram thoroughly repulsive in real life-- like stop taking selfies with your coffee people-- but given how many Sky-rim selfies I take, I've been seriously thinking of creating an instagram account for my Skyrim characters.

One's a chick:

"Today I had a sweetroll #yum"
or
"I rode my first dragon today but the weather sucked lol"

Or the dude could be like:

"Been getting swol killing dragur #nofilter #gainz #dedication"

I adored the DLC's when I first got them. Dawnguard is probably my favourite, partly because it introduced crossbows and vampire lords, but also because I feel it's the one with the best story. If there's one thing Skyrim suffers from, it's weak bosses, and Dawnguard had the best boss fight, against the falmer leader in his cave of ice statues. That was awesome.

I liked Dragonborn as well, for all the Lovecraftian elements, and it had a great villain. Unfortunately the dragon riding was embarrassingly bad. Flying around in circles shooting spells that always miss is not particularly fun for me.

Yeah, flying in a circle shooting spells off dragonback is even more confusing in VR (though it feels awesome, it's not as efficient). Still, you're RIDING A ****ing DRAGON.

I haven't tried it yet, but I assume you can Bend Will the random dragons that appear in mainland Tamriel? Then fly around Skyrim? Or can you only do that in Solstheim?

BTW, Miraak went down like a chump (though to be fair I was level 34 when I fought him). I was going that let that questline simmer but then the dude showed up and stole my dragon soul, twice. No cool, man.

I'm pretty sure you can ride dragons on the mainland as well.

Yeah, Miraak is asking to get destroyed. Every time he shows up he gives off this sense of complete arrogance. Which, I guess ends up making his ultimate fate all the more satisfying.

On a similar note, is it just me or is the first fight with Alduin ten times harder than the last one? I could barely see him the first time because all those meteorites kept falling on my head when I tried to shoot him. But the second time round you just use dragonrend a few times and then you have to race with the other guys to see who can take him out first.

Haha he was a challenge for me, but my characters are all underpowered and never wear much in the way of armor.

You can ride them but you can only target certain things then wind around aimlessly.  You can fast travel with them, but not control the direction they go once you've fast traveled.  You can't discover new locations, which is really disappointing b/c I wanted to use them to get over mountains like an airship.

IMPORTANT QUESTION: do you think that people who play kajits in Skyrim are more likely to own cats/be cat people irl?

Hmmmm case solved. Now we only need @tebakutis and @Henry Dale to confirm.

I noticed that all my Instagram friends are either kajits or modded out girls... Maybe like 1 argonian in the mix

Full disclosure: Since you never SEE your avatar in Skyrim (especially not in VR) I chose my race purely based on the racial bonus, so I rolled Breton (25% resistance to magic). However, I wouldn't be a good test case for the cat owner = Khajiit player poll, since while we do have a cat, it's my wife's, and I've never owned a cat of my own (I'm 100% a dog person).

What do you mean you never see it? I play on 3rd person, I see my slim little Khajit lady all the time. Do you mean the fact you're wearing a helmet most time?
So I owned two/three cats (one lived with me but teeechniiically was my BF's).
Next character I do I'll probably take a breton, because I'd love me some magic resistance.

What's the appeal of water breathing if you don't mind me asking Henry? Because there are potions for that, but almost 100h into my game I never had to breathe under water for any dungeon... I can hold my breath long enough to go fishing. The mechanics of swimming are pretty horrible though.

But to answer the main thread, I'd say my favourite things are the crazy amount of things you can learn to do or specialise in. It feels like there isn't any mastering them all in one life. I love how the game is racist to you if you're not Nord, but minorities will bond with you, and how it guilt trips you into stealing from some good people...
The one thing I don't like if how every dungeon starts looking the same, always being an underground warren of creepy rooms with dead stuff in it.
Mind you I haven't met many hargraven or chaurus yet, so can't complain, but I wish there were dungeons that weren't all literally dungeons...

I can't be bothered carrying all those potions. I never actually use any at all. Even for hp or mp. Cheese wheels however.

Nope. There's no third person in Skyrim VR. You are locked in first person (because virtual reality) and the only part of your body you see are your hands, which float out ahead of you (it doesn't render your body or anything). So there is literally no point in the game where you see what you look like other than at character creation.
