Yesterday I finally watched "In Bruges", that I'd recorded some months ago.

Apart from the film itself, which is a mixture of very funny/violent, I really enjoyed seeing the city again, all the places where I was in 2015 - and where I met @Henry Dale :D

I've really been wanting to watch the Favourite too! I heard great things about it.

And Olivia Colman took home the Golden Globe last night - a very worthy winner. The film is phenomenal, go watch if you can!

A love;y side benefit of the Favorite for us writer types is seeing a world lit only by firelight and sunlight. I’ve never seen a movie do such a good job of rendering how that was.

Haha, I loved that movie! It's always fun when they can make criminal/hitman types sympathetic by giving them a code, friends, and worries. I also loved how they kept insulting what seemed like a wonderful little city.

Yes, she was great!

I watched it today after work, but it was very different to the idea of it I had. I'm not sure why it got included in the "Comedy or Musical" category at the Golden Globes when it's neither a musical nor a comedy...
It left me feeling quite sad and frustrated and so sorry for queen Anne :-\

Wow good, or wow bad? Just watched season 3 a couple months ago. Kind of mixed feelings.

I thought it was really good.

Spoiler for Hiden:
When she kills her godfather or whatever he is to her... wow.
What I didn't like: the part when the Man in the High Castle starts gushing over her. b/c he seemed to despise her when he first met her. It also makes things suffer from these sort of masturbatory protagonist centered yarns I hate.  It makes no sense.  it would be way better if he didn't lay it all out like that and didn't completely understand everything himself
But I thought everything else was pretty damn awesome.

PS Please let Frank be dead I can't stand him.

Haven't watched any of season 3

Spoiler for Hiden:
Yeah. To the gushing, I kinda feel like the MC is a bit bland at times and so his sudden love for her didn't make much sense. Sometimes she's a badass, sometimes she is just demurely standing aside, and it seems really inconsistent. It's a great show though.

Lol, Not Lu also hated Frank.

Some Netflix shows, I really enjoyed.

The Fix - comic problem solving.
Nailed It - hilarious and the best cooking show. Just wow.

I've reached an awkward point where I'm halfway through a rewatch of Deep Space Nine, have season 1 of the Orville on the shelf, and Discovery Season 2 is coming to Netflix in a week. No idea how I'm keeping straight with all of this.

Also seen Titans advertised on Netflix. Anyone here know if it's any good?

Well they left the "teen" out for a reason. They've gone way out of their way to make it DC-grimdarky as possible-- it's like all the angst and none of the fun taking itself waaaay too seriously. Except for Raven who is randomly not dry and snarky anymore because the dark angst male protagonist needs to the the darkest and angriest person in the room because he's male obviously and the center of the universe.

I tried but I didn't make it far in that series.
