Stopped watching House of Cards after I finished season 2. I went through reading the overall plot for the remaining seasons, and what a blasphemy. I felt enraged at how they treated the main characters and the story line, and I say to hell with the rest of the series. I'm just going to clutch at season 1 and 2 as one of the best television series I've ever seen and let's leave it happily at that.

Is that the usa version? really the British version the original is a lot better.

Have you seen the american version? The first two seasons is pretty darn amazing, that's all I can say. Frank Underwood is definitely one of my favorite characters/ villains of all time, and I do learn certain ideals from him.

Besides, none of the things we've both liked have aligned so far, but thank you for the suggestion all the same.

Yes  the British  version is better😁 American remakes are always second best.

We both like pesky blinders
We both like Ketty Jay
We both like the gentleman bastards
We both like codex Alera
We both like the king killer chronicles

Watching season 1 of Fargo right now. I'd have to say that first episode was among one of the best (and well darkly humorous) episode of tv I've seen, and I can't wait to find how this story escalates, among everything else.

In addition, I still can't get my head around to the fact that these events in the series actually happened. Like for real? Haha.  ;D

I just realized I had a unique taste in comedies. I dislike "stupid person" comedies where the main character has a low IQ and makes acts like an idiot. I dislike Office (US Version), Parks and Recreation, Family Guy, Simpsons etc.

I lean towards shows like Frasier, Seinfeld etc which I can relate more to.

Bender, have you seen the old series MASH? A good mix of smart, smart alec, and stupid person.

America's Funniest Videos is just a hilarious time pass. I see there's a UK version called You've Been Framed too.

Can't stop laughing at the ridiculous antics in those videos.

Watching Fargo season 2, which is kind of like a prequel? to the first season.

I've also watched Casino the other day, and hell I'd grown to love Joe Pesci's character in everyone of his movies (almost always the same hot-tempered, volatile guy  ;D)

The Fargo series is bloody brilliant and I recommend it to all living people. Season 4 has been indefinitely delayed due to the virus, but I gather they've done most of the filming. I can't wait for it.

The message at the start about how it's all real is a pretty powerful way of making people see the series completely differently. The series creators just keep pushing the envelope when it comes to believability, as if  testing when people will start going "wait, wtf, this can't be real?"

Below, slightly spoilery comments about that (meta-spoilers, not anything about what actually happens in the series):

Spoiler for Hiden:
They are not real events (some events in Season 2 should settle that). If you have doubts, the fact that the standard disclaimer "any similarity to events or characters real or imagined is coincidental" etc. is in the credits should settle that. It's a really funny meta experiment though. I love how they made it all gritty and believable, yet keep depicting these series of events that just keep getting more and more absurd. They had me going for a while.

I started having my doubts starting from some episodes in season 1, hahah. I had to actually googled it up if the show is actually based on true events, and discovered the entire experiment thing. I think it bolster the show's unique sense of humor though, and I definitely enjoyed that.

I've started season 2 of Kingdom on Netflix. I still can't name a single character beyond their title or rank, but I swear more happened in the first episode than in the entire first season. Good stuff, and it makes zombies scary again.

We are binge watching “Ozark”. We both get a huge kick out of it, but Mrs. JMack is pretty obsessed.

How good would you say the series is, JMack? I'm planning to watch Ozark too after I've finished watching some of the series I have on store. Is it anything like Breaking Bad?
