What are you currently playing?

I'm mostly a strategy gamer, so I've basically been playing Civ 6 since they did the freebie of that months ago. (I love that I can win by cultural hegemony. I've done it accidentally three times now.)

But they also gave away Torchlight 2, so I did a playthrough of that on my just-finished "week off". I do really enjoy that franchise - more playable than Diablo (by which I mean, less crucifyingly painful on the mouse-clicking wrist, and also slightly less "you must know the trick for this big-boss") but with all the smash-the-enemy-until-shiny-gear-comes-out (like a murder-hobo pinata) funtimes.

Liege Dragon

After a rocky prologue, the game became enjoyable with power-ups based on crystals. It is fun to shop for spells for the characters. This bread-and-butter game doesn't do anything original, but offers solid gameplay for RPG fans. This is my favorite Kemco game so far. Liege Dragon will launch on Nintendo Switch in 13 days

Mercenaries Saga Collection

This Final Fantasy Tactics clone is another bread-and-butter game that doesn't do anything original, but offers solid gameplay for tactical RPG fans. Good times

Hades is out of early access, and even before it was a polished game with a lot of content, and now it's a gem not to be missed by anyone who likes action RPG roguelites. It's got tons of charm and a strong narrative backbone as well as mechanics that keep your runs interesting by keeping the gameplay and challenges fresh.

I had forgotten how infuriatingly hard Thief could be at times. I must have spent the best part of an hour looking for a lever. Where was it? Tucked in an alcove in the ceiling!

As of November I'm still playing Skyrim, but this time with *checks my mods list* 52 mods at the same time currently. I just hope the game wouldn't crash at this point.

I've been playing some Medieval Dynasty, a sim village building and farming game. It's been pretty relaxing and just what I'm in the mood for.
I also backed Terra Invicta on Kickstarter - a grand earth vs aliens strategy game from the makers of the Long War mods for XCOM. Should be out next year but I'm looking forward to that one.

Just started Divinity: Original Sin II on the recommendation that it's a good alternative to Skyrim (and also because I can't afford AC:Valhalla this month). Only about 4/5 hours in and so far it's so-so, not as good as I was expecting but that might be because I haven't given it enough of a chance. Story line seems very involved but finding the mechanics a bit clunky (probable user error).

I have had an absolute nightmare of a time trying to get Morrowind. I heard that the X Box 360 has backwards compatibility, so I brought an original X Box copy. It turned out it was a North American copy.

So I ordered a European copy. I put the disc in, and it wouldn't launch.

So I downloaded the game off the X Box store. And it still wouldn't launch. Exact same message. No error code, just a request to download the game again. So I downloaded it again. And it wouldn't launch again. It took a long time downloading as well, both times.

So for the fourth time, I brought the game again, this time a PC copy. Seeing as the game is pretty old at this point my parents' desktop should be able to run it, but at this point I wouldn't be surprised if something else goes wrong.

I really hope it's as good as everyone says it is.

Finally, succumbed and bought Escape from Tarkov. My first thought is it is everything it is supposed to be. I am being murdered and robbed by AI and players alike.
