But... but... the rebooted series has already been done and it was great (in a way hehe)

My 12-year old self loved the original (I used to play BG with my friend, I was Apolo and she was Starbuck ;D) and my 40-something year old self really enjoyed the reboot (which I bought as a full box for a bargain!)

I'm "She Who Reigns Over Us All In Crimson Cheer", according to Peat!

I thought the original was laughable and embarrassing. When I heard there was a reboot, I thought it was a terrible idea with no chance of being any good.

But I loved it. Have watched it through twice and own the DVDs. I confess I snorted at news of another reboot, but this time I'll at least give the creators a chance.

The issue here, to me, is that BG isn't really a universe or a world. It's a story idea--find Earth. There can be various adventures along the way, but unless it's find Earth, it's not BG. I suppose they could do a "rise of the machines" story.

Just remake the 2004 reboot exactly the same, shot for shot, then cut off the last ten minutes so the show isn't ruined this time around.

I think they need to cut the whole second half of the last season for that all to work out.

There are so many great sci-fi books out there that could be made instead of another remake. I get why it happens, but it still saddens me with so much awe-inspiring material that could make for great film and TV.

It could be worse: another batman reboot.
