Author Topic: Fantasy-Faction Book Battles: Favorite Antagonist Bracket & Discussion  (Read 11476 times)

Here be the collection of your favorite "bad guys" for you to vote on.  Are you going to vote for the baddest of the bad or the conflicted bad guy with good intentions?

The "Rules"
1) You cannot change your vote once you cast it so if you aren't sure then wait until you are sure.
2) If you have not read a series/book containing a character or if you do not have strong feelings for one of the characters, feel free to abstain from the battle.
3) Have fun, discuss, and maybe discover something new.

Polls will likely go up tomorrow morning (US time).

I wasn't able to really find good quotes for most the antagonists so I didn't add anything extra this time to the poll post.

Also, can we get this thread stickied please?

Thanks, Hedin, appreciate the work you put into these, despite back pain, job interviews and name choosing.  ;D

I am voting each time, based on not the worst antagonist but the one I found most interesting and enjoyed as a character. If I haven't read of one will vote for the one I know if he is worth it. This is going to end up as usual with more TBR's, which has been the result of each battle so far.

Based on how things went with our first kid I'm not going to be surprised if my wife goes into labor sometime this weekend.  Depending on when it does happen I may not be around to put up the next round of polls, if I don't do it by next Tuesday if someone wants to they can do it (or just wait until I can).

Looking forward to good news @Hedin, good wishes for all to go smoothly for you and your family.
BTW glad you discarded Roxie, it is a pain of a name to grow up with. ;)

We have one tie in this week's voting (2 hours remaining) so if you haven't voted then what are you waiting for?

I'm abstaining from a lot of these. There's a fair few I haven't read, but also a couple where I just didn't buy into the antagonists.  I think only about 5 in this I'd vote for.

Suppose it goes to show how hard it is to write decent villains.
