Your TBR List
« on: August 21, 2012, 08:56:50 PM »
So I had an idea.

I see a lot of people mention their TBR (to be read) lists. But what's actually on your list?

Here's mine:

Malazan...all of them.
The Discworld books.
Spellwright.
Tome of the Undergates.
Shadow Ops: Control Point
The Magicians
The Black Prism
Cold Fire Trilogy
Prince of Thorns
Elves: Once Walked With Gods
Dresden Files after Death Masks
Codex Alera
Neuromancer
Foundation Trilogy

I can't remember any more  :D As you see, it's pretty huge.

So...what's your TBR list?

Oh my... I actually don't know where to begin. Maybe I will try another time.

Do you actually mean books we own and have yet to read or just all books on the TBR list - because there's a fairly substantial difference for me.

Oof..I'll let you take it how you want with that one. If I put the TBR's I don't own...then we'd be here a while haha

That is a list worthy of the term!

You realise you've probably added about 30 new books to my TB (to buy) list.  :D

Now, if I could only find time to actually read any of them, everything would be grand.  I fear I've created a monster I cannot slay.

Obtuse, I'm going to count how many of those I have read! Nice to see if there are any I have forgotten about and would like to read again!

My TBR list is unknown and depends on what I can find. But I have a wishlist on an online shop that is about 80 books long.

EDIT: How did you come to own 270 books that you haven't read? Was a shop having a clearance sale where you get 300 books for the price of 2?

Most of them are used MMPBs.  The sellers on Half.com regularly have 99¢ MMPBs, which after shipping wind up being about $3.  Half Price Books, which is a brick and mortar found in parts of the US, usually has MMPBs priced $2-3.  I live in the Houston, TX metro area, where there are at least five HPB stores, so I've had a huge select to tap.  I financed the collection, in part, by asking everyone to give me gift cards for Christmas and my birthday.  I don't imagine I spent more than $400 of my own money on the books I listed and that's over a 3 yrs (or so) period.

Because we keep reshelving we no longer have an actual pile, and half the time I can't work out what my wife bought and what I bought. She's actually started to make an impact on her unread stuff now though, me I'm spinning my wheels. I think I'm going to have to tackle this alphabetically, start at the unread A's and work on through.
I will expand your TBR pile.
